Q: Is it me or does this cream have a foul odor when you first apply it to the face skin?

I have used a few jars of day and night Weleda Skin Food cream. It has never had a foul odor, only fresh and clean.

Q: Does the Weleda day face cream contain any sun block?

We want to share that we do not have sun protection in Weleda products. There are many fine ones available that can be layered over our creams. Sunscreens are a heavily regulated product and must meet the requirements in the USA. We continue to do research in Europe where our products are made, on sunscreens.

Q: Is this cream also anti aging wrinkles especially since I am in my 60’s?

Thank you so much for your inquiry! While not specific to anti-aging, the Skin Food Nourishing Day Cream is designed to restore skin’s natural luminosity and in an in use study with at least 30 subjects 71% of people agreed fine lines due to dryness were less visible after 4 weeks of daily use.

Q: You had me until i looked up the ingredients. squaline is derived from shark liver? really? please elaborate.

Thank you so much for your inquiry! The squalane we use in Weleda products is obtained from unsaponifiable fraction of olive oil, therefore it is a Phytosqualane.
