Teen Titans Go! To The Movies

Great movie for adults and kids to watch together, jokes aimed at both plus it’s not a massively complex or long film. My six year old loved it as did her dad and me

The movie is way better than the series

A feature film version of the dc comics cartoon show 'Teen Titans Go!'. In which Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, Beast Boy and Raven live in Titans Tower and work together to stop crime in Jump City. Anyone who has ever seen the show will know it puts humour first and foremost, and has a quickfire style of such which will break the fourth wall and do all sorts, including musical moments and photo images among other things to get a laugh. It's the kind of humour that will appeal on different levels to different generations. To kids because it's colourful and silly, and to grown ups because it's clever and subtle at times. You can get into the movie without having seen the series though. This takes on the current vogue for Superhero films. As Robin and friends find all the other dc characters are getting movies. But nobody takes them seriously enough to want to make one about them. To get noticed, they need an arch enemy. Finding and foiling one is the first step towards Robin's big screen dream.... You might wonder if a show which gets through plots in eleven minutes could stretch it to feature length. SpongeBob SquarePants managed it. And this does the same. There is a good solid plot and story here that makes it work. Along the way it crams great character humour, fun musical numbers, and there's so much going on in the background that you can't take your eyes off it. There's stuff for those who know their dc comics continuity. For those who know their marvel movies. And a truly great cameo. Among other things. There are a couple of mild jokes about bodily functions. Which the kids will probably love. And one awkward question. But you'll have to get it to it sooner or later folks. You'll see what I mean. Totally superb entertainment for all ages. It's even funnier than Deadpool two. Which was very funny. So I can't recommend it highly enough. Nor can I get one of the songs off my mind. But I don't care. Because it's great, Since it's a superhero movie, do keep watching to the very very end of the credits. The dvd has the following language and subtitle options: Languages: English, Castilian Spanish, Italian. Subtitles: English, Castilian Spanish, Greek, Italian. The dvd goes straight to the menu when loaded without ads or trailers. Just a couple of quick copyright notices. It contains the usual flyer with code to use to download a copy of the film onto a digital device. The only extras are two of the storyboard animatics for two of the key scenes. Both run around seven mins, and play the animatic in the bottom right of the screen, and the finished version with dialogue and sound and music in the top left, so you can compare.

Good film for a chill with the kids

This movie is amazing, and will make you laugh with so many silly gags and so much cartoon madness.
