Flexible Tremella That Adapts Nicely to Different Dishes
From the very first use, I appreciated how easy it was to soften and prepare. I usually soak just enough for one or two meals, and the process stayed consistent across multiple batches. That level of reliability made it much easier to plan ahead for different recipes. Whether I wanted something light for an evening dessert-style dish or a warm bowl for lunch, the texture adjusted comfortably in either direction. It blended smoothly with the other ingredients each time, giving every dish a sense of fullness without requiring extra effort. One of the biggest conveniences was how flexible it felt across different cooking methods. Some ingredients only work well in a single type of recipe, but this Tremella adapted nicely whether I used it in a thicker soup or a chilled dish for warmer days. I especially liked how it supported recipes that rely on a gentle, soft texture, because it settled in without overpowering the other components. After a few uses, I began experimenting more freely, and the results stayed consistently dependable. For someone who has never prepared Tremella before, there may be a slight learning curve. The soaking time can noticeably change the final texture, so the first few attempts might require patience and small adjustments. Once I figured out the soak duration that suited my preference, the process became completely straightforward. Still, it’s something new users should be aware of. Depending on the type of dish you’re preparing, this Tremella tends to lean toward a firmer, more structured texture rather than a very soft one when prepared quickly. This isn’t a drawback—it simply means you may want to adjust the soaking time based on the result you prefer. On days when I wanted a softer finish, I let it soak a bit longer, and that worked well. But during my very first attempt, it turned out firmer than I expected, so a moment of experimentation was definitely helpful.

oft and gelatinous.
The quality is excellent – the pieces are clean, golden-yellow, and have a lovely floral shape when they soak. I just soak a few pieces in water until they soften up and expand huge, which is always surprising. Then I rinse it, trim off the base, and simmer it for about 30-40 minutes until it becomes soft and gelatinous. It becomes incredibly silky and soft, and it makes a broth or sweet soup wonderfully thick and smooth. I don't notice a strong flavor, but it has a very subtle, almost faintly sweet taste that goes with everything.

Great Ingredient for Healthy Cooking
This premium snow fungus is a great addition to my kitchen. The pieces are large and very clean, so I don’t have to spend much time preparing them. When soaked, they expand nicely and become soft with a pleasant bite. I used it in both a sweet dessert soup and a savory chicken soup, and in both dishes it worked really well. The texture is light but still adds a good body to the dish. The flavor is subtle, which makes it easy to pair with other ingredients. I also like that it is packed well, and the 55g size is practical to store without taking up much space. The price is reasonable for the quality, especially since you don’t need a lot each time. It feels like a natural, healthy ingredient that supports both taste and wellness, and I’m very happy with this purchase.

Clean and convenient snow fungus
I am very familiar with using snow fungus in both soups and desserts, and I usually buy the whole fungus that requires soaking, trimming, and prepping before it’s ready to cook. This jar is quite different since it comes with fragmented pieces instead of whole heads. The pieces looked very clean and had no chemical smell, which gave me confidence about the quality. Even so, I gave them a quick rinse by soaking them in water for a few minutes, and they softened almost instantly. I used them to make a quick dessert drink in my thermal container by combining the fungus with dried dates, goji berries, and dried longan. With just hot water, the drink was ready in about two hours, which was much faster and easier than the traditional way of simmering whole fungus. Because these are small fragments, I think they work best for quick soaking methods or thermal recipes, as they might break down too much if boiled for a long time. The convenience of not having to prep or trim the fungus saves a lot of time, especially when I just want a simple drink or dessert. While snow fungus doesn’t have much taste on its own, it blends nicely with other ingredients and adds a pleasant texture. Overall, this jar offers a clean, versatile, and time-saving option for anyone who enjoys snow fungus in their cooking or drinks.

The quality is just so so
I have been using white fungus, also known as herbal tremella, to make soup for many years. They are well known for beauty and wellness. This is my first time to order it from Amazon, I am eager to try it and compare it with my other brands. The product is well received and it is very fresh. I can smell the freshness as soon as I opened the package. I made some simple soup with just one ingredient in it because I want to test and compare with my top brands ones. Because this one is in small pieces, the cooking time is real short. It is very smooth and gelatinous, but not as tender or chewy. Frankly speaking, I don’t believe they are dried from premium high quality snow fungus. I think the quality is just so so. Overall, I think the quality of the product is not as good as they advertised. It was not bad though . I think the quality is just okay.

Fresh and easy to cook tremella
This tremella is different from the regular white fungus I’ve used before. It comes in smaller pieces that soak up water quickly and soften fast when cooked. The texture is smooth and slightly jelly-like, making it great for sweet soups and desserts. I like that it’s clean, easy to prepare, and said to be good for skin and hydration, so I often make it as a light dessert. I just wish it stayed a bit crunchier after cooking, since I personally prefer more chewiness. Overall, it’s fresh, convenient, and of good quality.
