Nice quality and worked well

I was looking for a secure way to mount and display my enamel pin collection, and I thought this would work nicely. In some respects, it does the job I wanted it for - my pins are safe, secure, and stay clean in a dusty, pet-filled home. In other respects... not so much. I had erroneously assumed that this would be felt or fabric covered corkboard, which would hold the pins securely while being a bit more stylish than a standard corkboard. It is not, however. What it seems to be is fabric covered *foamcore*. While that will mostly hold the pins relatively secure... it doesn't hold it as secure as corkboard would, *and*, you'd better get whatever you are putting on this board in the exact position you want it the *first* time. If not, you'd better need to move it a lot, and not just a tiny bit, because, unlike corkboard, which half "heals" itself once the staple or pin has been removed, foamcore does NOT do that, and now you have a permanent hole there in that spot. Even if the *fabric* covers the hole back up so you can't see it, the cardboard part of the foamcore does *not* heal at all, and if you need to place a new hole too close to an old one, now it will be very loose and not secure at all. If this board were being used where old things were removed and new things pinned or stapled up all the time, it wouldn't take too long at all for the places where the pins or staples of similarly sized objects need to go would be rendered pretty useless. That is a flaw that an actual corkboard display would *not* suffer from nearly as quickly. And as for fellow pin collectors... It is a very stylish, neat, and secure display. Just make sure you stick your pins in the right spot the first time, and don't wiggle them around trying to get that perfect placement.... and don't rearrange your boards that often. Otherwise, you might run into some issues with looseness and pins not staying in place. Especially the large, decorative fantasy pins. If that happens, I have found that a single permanent "glue dot" on the back of the pin will help give it just enough security to keep it in place even if the holes are loose. All in all, it's a very nice display. I just wish that, in retrospect, I'd skipped the "stylishness" aspect and just gone with corkboard backing instead of the "prettier" fabric.

Very lightweight but sturdy. We use them for horizontal display cases for sports cards; we do not hang them on the wall. Some customers have commented how nice the cases look.

I make beaded jewelry and want to take it to shows. I needed a lockable display case to put on my tables and this one is perfect. It is large enough to display many items and the blue background looks great with the jewelry on top of it. (I had trouble getting a picture with the case closed because the camera picked up a reflection on the clear plexiglass cover). It comes with mounting screws, which I do not plan to use and push pins to secure items in the case. This will make a great addition to my display at a craft show I plan to attend and offer my jewelry for sale. The construction is top notch and I am thrilled to find this unit. I liked this so much that I purchased a second case to display beaded items that can be special ordered with the customer selecting the colors they want to make the item personal. It is great that both cases come with matching keys and have strong and very clear plexiglass covers. Wonderful construction and look very professional.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Provided exactly the dimensions I needed. Is waterproof. Solid construction, fair price

The product itself is great it feels right, looks right, priced right. It’s just not practicle if you are trying to open it constantly (as if using it for showcasing cards)and trying to get in and out of it. There is no easy way to open it without getting your fingernails inbetween it. I give it a three starts because even if this was used for a bulletin board it would still be difficult to easily get into the case.
