So… for the first 15 months, we got a lot of use out of this monitor and I’ve really liked it. The picture quality is great, the sound quality works well, the talk feature is mighty helpful, we had zero connectivity issues, and there was very rarely any lag. However, I’m giving this item 2 stars because the receiver charging functionality randomly died. Originally, we thought perhaps the charging cord quit working but we’ve tried two other charging cords that we know supply power and the issue is the receiving unit itself. I’m really disappointed because it basically renders the entire system useless as we power on the receiver and immediately get a low battery beep and it powers back down. Because it died after only 15 months of use, and we used it by leaving it in a central location in our living room almost daily that entire time, I really don’t know if I can recommend it to another parent. I was hoping to get another year or two out of this, and… yeah. Really disappointed.

This was a good monitor for the price, however the picture quality is not amazing. We bought this so we had a backup monitor and could use something a bit smaller when we travel. I also find it frustrating you have to click a number of buttons to get to the volume and other features. I wish there was just an easy button on the side to adjust the volume. I likely wouldn't use this as my main monitor but for what we need it has worked great.
