Great quality and excellent features.
This bicycle LED lamp from Towild is much better than other similar lights that I have owned, it is very well designed and made from quality materials and includes some excellent features. The all-metal body feels solid and durable. It has several brightness levels and modes of operation; on full power, this light is very bright indeed and you should not look directly into it. So powerful It can actually get quite hot after a while. The included fixing mount is also very well designed and provides a firm anchor that can be easily adapted to fit handlebars, front bearing hubs, or front forks. It includes a quick-release mechanism so the lamp can be easily removed and used as a handheld torch as well as for anti-theft purposes. The “intelligent” mode is a great idea, if there is no movement for two minutes, the light powers off, but immediately powers back on as soon as the lamp detects any movement. What I particularly like is the wireless remote button which, when mounted in a convenient place on the handlebar will operate the lamp wherever it is fitted. This feature sets it apart from any other similar lamp I have tried. The light beam has a very good spread and illuminates the way ahead very well, even when set on the lower power, and it has a good cut-off at hieght so is less likely to dazzle other road users or pedestrians. The 4000mAh rechargeable battery lasts a long time, easily up to eight hours on moderate light, is quick to recharge, and can be used as a backup power bank for phones, tablets, laptops etc. Complete with clear concise instructions, I think this LED bike lamp from Towild is excellent value.

Almost great - light quality not the best
Easy to install, works above or below the bars, or in my case mounted under an out-front mount on a go-pro mount. Simple to remove and replace when leaving the bike somewhere. Quite light, with decent battery life and quick charging. In fact almost perfect. The only issue is the “medium” setting is too dim. On full, it lights the road so you can cycle in full dark, but the battery life is only an hour, which is too short, and it is a bit blinding for cars. On Medium, the battery lasts ok, but it is just too dim to cycle safely at speed in full darkness. There is too much of a gap between those settings. I also prefer the colour of white of some other lights. But for daylight visibility, short hops in the total dark, or going around town/semi-lit areas, it is good.

My second towild light. A definite recommendation
I have the same brand, but a more powerful version of this currently on my road bike. This will replace that light and I will move my existing light to my mountain bike . It is of a solid build, it is rainproof and is extremely bright. The light spreads over a wide range and will certainly help to turn your dark roads into a well lit path. The battery runs for long enough, but on the brightest setting I would have hoped for a little longer than the two hours it generally gives. That said, most of my road cycling will have the light set to a lower setting, or the lowest for daytime riding. This is easy enough to recharge though, so having a charging point near where I store the bike, means I just unclip and plug in to charge overnight. A nice bright beam, this light stretches forward sufficiently to light the road ahead at speed, and its left to right coverage is again sufficient for most use. I like the fact that this is so tough, robust and heavy. It feels like top quality and certainly preforms like it too. The remote is useful, but I find it a bit unnecessary for my purposes. Mostly because, even though flashing your light is fine to warn others of your presence, car drivers see that as a signal to pull out in front of you. So, I don't flash. An excellent light that is easily connected to the handlebars. I recommend it.

What an impressive light!!
This is a great bike light!! It’s super bright with 3 brightness settings for around town or the darkest back roads. Has a well formed bean soo you can adjust soo it doesn’t dazzle other road users. The remote is handy being able to place this near handlebars so you can adjust the brightness. Clamp is really good and holds the light in place well. Light can be released easily by rotating. Light has a solid metal housing so should withstand drops. Gets hot as it’s working which is to be expected with this as it’s soo bright. Comes with recharging cable. A great light and makes night riding a lot safer!!

I was in the hunt for a backup headlight for my daily commuter after several instances of losing power mid-commute. I bike commute year-round in the PNW, coming and going in the dark during winter months. My primary was the Light and Motion Urban1000. Sadly, Light and Motion is no longer with us, unable to withstand the supply glut following the COVID bike boom and the onslaught of cheap, but high quality and feature rich competitors drop shipped from China, quite like the product I'm reviewing. We'll save the impact of globalization on American small businesses for later. Onto the review. This bike light is uncompromisingly excellent. While I'd planned for this as a backup, it is now my primary. The light casing and Garmin mounts are high quality. Light casing is sturdy black anodized aluminum, rubber boot on the switch, rubber cover tethered to the USB-C port located in back. The light beam is directional with a downward cast, about waist high at distance, which avoids blinding oncoming cyclists and peds (nice touch for the considerate cyclist). The mounting hardware can be removed and installed either on top or bottom of the light, depending on whether you are mounting above or below the handlebar. This is a very nice feature compared to the Urban1000, which when mounted under the bar, had to be turned upside down, resulting in the power switch and bike battery indicator both inverting under the light. This made changing the light mode more challenging, and often resulted in my failing to notice the low battery indicator causing the light to lose power mid-commute (which is why we are here). The mounting flexibility on this light avoids this problem entirely. The remote switch is an excellent feature. It pairs easily and sits neatly atop my handlebars next to the stem and opposite my bell. My commute varies from well-lit and smoothly-paved surfaces to limited illumination stretches that are littered with potholes. I prefer to ride with a flashing or breathing light mode because it is more noticeable to cars but often switch modes depending on the road conditions. The remote switch is easy to manipulate. The buttons are tactile which allows me to operate by feel alone, allowing me to keep my eyes on the road while safely switching light modes. Again, an excellent feature that considerably improves ride safety. Onto the flashing and breathing light modes. The light offers both, as well as high, medium, low brightness modes (the remote allows you to easily switch between all modes). I prefer the breathing mode which gradually increases and reduces the intensity of the light. The breathing mode in this light is a considerable improvement over the same mode in the Urban1000. It is a faster breathing cadence, and significantly brighter. Whereas the breathing mode on the Urban1000 was more about creating a visible signal for oncoming drivers, the same mode in this light accomplishes that without compromising the light's primary function of illuminating the road ahead. Win win! The only thing I cannot comment on (yet) is the battery life. If I find this insufficient, I will update the review, though given my experience thus far, I'm optimistic. Altogether, very very happy with this purchase. The value for the price is a step function higher than where the bike light market has been in the past decade (I've been doing this bike commute thing for a while now). I still keep the Urban1000 in my messenger bag as a backup, and a memento of the halcyon days of American bike light manufacturing. Highly recommend.
