Product came packed very securely in a heavy-walled cardboard box. Even so, the delivery people still managed to drop it and dent the bottom of the gallon can. No fault of the seller, but clearly the heavy handed delivery company. Thanks for the gloves, stir sticks and pouring/mixing cups! The paint itself was very EZ to work with and I got a great finish. I did one coat and noticed some lite coverage in a few areas, so I feel strongly that 2 coats are needed. It was pretty sunny out so the mis-coverage was my fault. Even so, the finish was very very nice. I used a 1/8" nap roller and did not need to tip it with a brush. I used blue painters tape to mask my areas and then pulled it up without issue in about 30 minutes time. I HIGHLY recommend using the gloves because this stuff is not easy to remove from your hands without full strength mineral spirits. I waited a few days to let the paint cure (not sure that was needed but I did my best to stay off the new finish and not wash or scrub it for a few days). When I washed my boat the following week, I totally noticed a renewed sense of safety thanks to the new nonskid paint! And having my nonskid as a new color, people can totally see where to step and NOT to step when running around the boat. The finish is easy on my feet too. All in all it was a great project that made my old girl look new and sexy again! My tip for others with an old, chalky, no-longer-shiny fiberglass boat is to wetsand the glossy (slippery) areas to bring back the shine (really works!) and then mask off the non-skid areas and paint that area with this TotalTread product. Again, this project made my old boat a new boat! I purchased the sand beige (check out the pix). I ordered a gallon: one coat on a Catalina 30 sailboat used up about a quart. So then two coats would require half gallon. Everyone's mileage will vary but that's my math, FYI.

I was wondering if this could be used to recoat a pretty gross fiberglass shower pan. The answer is yes! I could not be happier, but this is a polyurethane paint that has pretty powerful fumes, so I do recommend using a ventilator with P100 filters if you are going to work with even small quantities of this paint indoors.

I just finished using this paint to do the inside of a 14' aluminum skiff. Because I used this on aluminum, I had to prep by using a self-etching primer. Using the advice from other customer reviews, I used a little bit of paint tint to darken the gray color slightly. The paint came out darker, yet still had the bluish tint mentioned by other reviews. As said by others', it's crucial to mix this paint thoroughly, otherwise the micro-beads will not be consistent. I applied two coats of paint by use of a roller, which came out very smooth and consistent. I was surprised by how thin the paint rolls out for having "grit" in it. A good strategy would be to roll out an area, and go back over it a few minutes later without adding more paint on the roller. I found that this makes the paint more consistent, and distributes the micro-beads a little better. The initial coat did not adhere well in areas where I had applied caulk, but seemed to be fine after applying the second coat. The cure time may be a few days, but each layer was dry to the touch within an hour of application (in about 65 degree weather, in a paint tent). I was pleasantly surprised by the finished appearance. While it didn't completely hide small cracks and imperfections, I am confident that it will grip and hold up well. The only reason I did not rate this paint higher was because it is advertised as a true gray, when in fact it is not; and because it requires some serious mixing for proper application. When you think you have mixed it enough - mix it some more. I would definitely use this product again.

I gave this five stars because Amazon took care of me. The can arrived bent so badly we couldn't open it. At over a hundred dollars, I wasn't happy. I called support at Amazon, and they made it right. They offered my money back or another can. I really wanted to try this product. I had heard so much about it. I had them send me another can at no charge. The product worked for us, but the second can arrived bent as well. We were able to open it, though, and use it. I'm happy with the results on our deck boat flooring. After applying three coats, it looks and feels the way I wanted it. One can was all we needed for three coats. It isn't water clean up, though, so buy a quart of the epoxy thinner at the same time for thinning the paint a little and clean up. The first coat took about two days to dry in Texas at 90 degrees in the shade underneath our barn. The second coat took about the same and the third coat took a little over three days to dry completely.

Bought it to seal the boat deck. This works really well. Plenty left over for later use when needed. Great product.
