Brilliant piece of lightweight kit.
Great piece of kit. To satisfy my curiosity I timed this pot boiling 750ml of water against several other stoves. This was the fastest, beating a Jetboil Flash, an Alpkit Brukit (jetboil copy) and the same burner (FireMaple FMS300T titanium). under a plain titanium pot. It boiled 750ml of water in 3min 50s. The Jetboil took 5min 40s and the plain titanium pot took 8 mins. A clear gold star for the FireMaple and proof that the heat exchanger really does work. The neoprene sleeve is also very useful; almost vital. Only thing I would suggest is that a titanium version is made to further decrease the weight - which is already pretty good.

Brilliant bit of kit
Bought as a gift for my fella. He says it’s the dogs doodaa. Boils super quick & nicely compact to fit on his bike with his camping kit. He loves it.

doesn't fit my stove well at all
i've used quite a fair bit now. its good - lighweight and practical. unfortunately its so awkwardly shaped for any stove piece that doesn't seem to be the (expensive) pocket rocket? slits are too narrow for my lamtor portable stove i got off amazon. its super tricky to get it to sit well and when it does one side gets stuck - i end up spilling water every single time. and when im in the middle of nowhere with limited water it really really gets frustrating. could be made better with a few adjustments to the width of the slits and the corrugations on the bottom so the stove forks don't get trapped if you buy I'd read another review that states what stove piece it specifically worked with because it seems ultra specific. found it more anger-inducing that anything after about 7 nights use in the wild

Lightweight and can store other kit inside.
Ultimately this 'FireMaple Petrel G3' is a lightweight yet tough pot that’s ideal for camping and outdoor cooking/heating. It is well reviewed on YouTube and once I got my hands in it, the reviews turned out to be accurate. The built-in heat exchanger works well, especially in breezy conditions, and it brings water to a boil quickly. It’s also easy to clean and pairs well with most stoves, though I did need to slightly bend the arms on my BRS-3000T for a proper fit. I also have a forclaz stove from Decathlon that fits the heat exchanger perfectly but wont store inside the pot. However it does fit in the included mesh bag that comes with the pot. I store my gas canister, BRS stove, and lighter inside the pot, with the handle acting as a clamp to keep everything secure. A bit of paper towel helps prevent rattling and is no doubt useful. I also bought a neoprene sleeve separately, which makes handling easier and improves insulation, it’s something I wish came standard. The capacity is marked as 600ml but it is actually much closer to 700ml. If you have it on a rolling boil at the max fill line it won't over flow but with noodles or anything that might cause foaming/bubbles it probably would hit the top or overflow if you filled past the max line. I mainly use it for coffee stops while out on the motorcycle or in the garden/greenhouse but it’s just as capable for boiling noodles or prepping dehydrated meals whilst camping. I have also used it on top of a wood burning stove with the neoprene removed, it does get caked in carbon/soot which is near impossible to remove from the fins. Thoroughly satisfied and would highly recommend it.

Excellent pot.
First thing to know is that for it to work properly you need a stove which has the pot stands evenly spaced at 120 degrees and the stands MUST face into the centre of your stove, like a three pointed star. Bearing that in mind, and the fact that I'm not into boil times, this boiled me enough water for two cups of tea in under two minutes when used with the Firemaple Torch stove.. It's very light, well made and compared to other pots I looked at is excellent value for money. Love it!

Lightweight and great price for the quality of the item.
Excellent value for money, when compared to more expensive versions such as JetBoil or Primus. I've seen it referred to as entry level, but I think it's much better than that. Easy to set up and use, exttemely lightweight. Build quality is excellent at first look. will update as it gets more usage. The stove is stable especially with the canister stand fitted and I particularly like the piezoelectric igniter.

Small and lightweight
The stove is small and lightweight and seems sturdy. Finish is excellent and looks well made. It regulates well and has a nice roar. It does not come with a bag or case. The pot is compact and the heat exchanger makes it a fast t boiler and you use less gas. It is ideal for one person and the slots, of you have a compatible stove, allow the burner to sit in the heat exchanger unit. This does supply a bit of a windshield and has protected the flame on a blustery hillside. The lid looks to be tritan and will not melt but does stick a bit after boiling. It has a silicone pot grab, strain/steam holes and a locking pot handle. Quality bit of kit all round. I originally bought this for my wife but I will sometimes borrow it for my solo trips.

Uses any type of camping stove and gas.
Really a good bit of camping kit. Works very well, pours well and boils water for at least two home sized mugs of tea/coffee. Will take my own foldable gas stove inside and it is protected by its own net bag. Love it! Can be used on any camping gas bottle that I have.

The petrel boils water faster than I expected! I boiled 1 cup in under 2mins. It was crazy fast. My only gripe was that my hornet 2 that came with it was fairly loose and rattling when the arms were in the open position and bottom of arms in the little notches. Good news is it was an easy fix. I simply took some needle nose pliers on the base of the arms and bent them down slightly so that the arms would have a little resistance while fully extending them. Now there is kind of "click" into place feel when I fully open the arms.

Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Absolutely Love My Fire Maple Petrel Ultralight Cooking System – A Must-Have for Lakeside Mornings and Beyond! I just had to share how much I'm enjoying my Fire Maple Petrel Ultralight Cooking System, especially after a recent morning by the lake, as you can see! This incredible piece of gear has quickly become an indispensable part of my outdoor adventures. From the moment I picked it up, I could tell it was well-made. It's incredibly lightweight, which is a huge plus when you're packing for a hike or a camping trip, but it still feels robust and durable. The design is sleek and practical, and the folding handle is a genius touch, making it compact for transport and easy to hold when you're sipping on something warm. One of the absolute best features, which is a game-changer for minimalist packing, is that my Fire Maple Green Peak stove and a compatible fuel canister both fit neatly inside the pot, with the lid securing everything perfectly! (Of course, fuel isn't included with the system, but the space for a canister is invaluable). This means less clutter in my pack and quicker setup when I reach my destination. Plus, it came with a handy mesh bag that I've found incredibly useful both for cleaning the pot on the go and for storing it safely in my pack. In the picture, you can see it perfectly poised for a relaxing start to the day. I particularly love how well the pot pairs with my Fire Maple Green Peak stove. It heated up quickly and efficiently, allowing me to enjoy a hot beverage while soaking in the peaceful lakeside view. The compatibility between these two Fire Maple components makes for an incredibly versatile and reliable system for any conditions. Clean-up was a breeze too, which is always appreciated when you're out in nature. Whether I'm making coffee by the water, rehydrating a meal on a trail, or just need a reliable pot for camp cooking, my Fire Maple Petrel Ultralight Cooking System has exceeded expectations. It's truly a fantastic piece of equipment for anyone who loves the outdoors. If you're looking for a high-quality, lightweight, and efficient cooking system for your adventures – especially one that performs flawlessly with the Fire Maple Green Peak stove, keeps your entire cooking system compact, and even comes with a versatile storage/cleaning bag – I wholeheartedly recommend the Fire Maple Petrel Ultralight Cooking System. You can often purchase the pot and Green Peak stove together as a convenient set, or if you prefer, they are also available for individual purchase to suit your specific needs. You won't be disappointed!
