this electric motor had to be reorderd thru customer service as buy again. never got my first order. thanks amazon customer service !!I was very pleased when my item was here. the cardboard box motor came in had no damage and the motor was packed very well. motor was wired up for 220v so i changed it to 110v to check motor out. diagram on motor housing was spot on. motor ran great. i'm very pleased. i like building things and needed the motor to build around to make a frame to custom fit this motor and work out from it. back to work .

Easy conversion. Works great! Had to replace original motor because of flood ruining it. All hardware that was needed was supplied. Had to replace guide bearings and wheel tires which also came from Amazon. No problems with any of the parts ordered.

Seems to be a quality motor.

The motor is exactly what one expects for a dual voltage & reversible product. The instructions properly detail how it should be wired for each potential supply voltage. However, as it relates to direction of motor rotation (something critical to most purchasers) the instructions simply state that the reversal of two named wires will reverse the rotation. The user is left to guess which way the motor will rotate if it's connected one way vs. the other. This means there is a 50/50 chance that connecting the wires may have to be done twice. Just a little more information would be most helpful to the end users.

Motor was packaged extremely well. Used to replace a 110v 3/4hp motor on a dinosaur aged drill press. This motor size is quit a bit larger but with the universal mount it was not an issue.The wiring photos and directions were the easiest to follow I've seen. This motor has way more power than the old one I replaced and it is very quiet. Very pleased with my purchase. Oh and the price was way less than others for sale.

This is a powerful, smooth motor, with an integrated base, plus threaded holes in the front, in case you want to mount it to a plate and have the shaft protrude through a hold in the plate. There are no holes in the front of the motor, so it wont suck in debris through the front of the motor as some will. Instead it has a fan mounted to the back of the motor with a thin metal shroud around it, for cooling the motor. This motor runs fine on 110VAC off a 15A circuit. This has a box on the side of it that allows for mounting a switch on it, or having the wires protrude through knockouts in the box in order to wire it up to something external. My only gripe with this (and the reason for assigning 3 stars instead of 4) is that the knockouts on the box are not actual knockouts. They were not cut all the way through the metal of the box and cannot be knocked out the way you would expect. You will have to cut out holes in the box with a dremel or drill instead. Not a big deal, but it does reduced the ease of installation if that is your preferred wiring method.

I put this on my cement mixer. Replaced the small motor that burnt up. Mixes 80lb bags with no problem.
