Beautiful vase, little pricey but Cast Iron heavy

It's a small vase with a lot of weight. Just beautifully designed with an antiquated style. Perfect for a fresh cut bouquet of flowers. Love it!

This vintage style āSungmor Heavy Duty Cast Iron Decorative Vaseā has a rustic, distressed finish. It is very reminiscent of urns sitting atop porch step posts or placed on wicker front porch tables with freshly picked garden flowers. Mine will first be used for a ābouquetā of vintage USA flags on the 4th of July. As I get that set-up I will post a picture for you. This āvaseā is heavy and stable. The tulip top is screwed to the iron base and therefore it will not hold water. There is also a single tack weld between the two pieces, the look of which is somewhat minimized by the distressed cream finish. A smaller jar of glass or plastic will be necessary for fresh greens. A foam block would also work but may still seep water onto any fine table linens placed underneath. For these cases, you might try placing the floral foam in a double layer of baggies and still be able to make it all fit the full vase shape. This fall the vase would be lovely with branches of changing leaves, bittersweet, Chinese Lantern and even stems of faux blackberries. A huge bunch of dried white or blue statice would also be striking. An African Violet or Cyclamen (small, 3ā pot) would be pretty when perched in the top of the tulip shape. The point is that there are many ways that this vase could be styled and fit right in with any season. It would be equally at home on a picnic table or on the bookshelves of a gentlemanās study. I would suggest gluing a felt pad to the raw base, or using any sort of surface protector, under the vase if placing on any easily scratched surface
