Very useful. (Purchased the "thickened" version) The good: Protects the glass cooking surface of stove when not in use and makes a useful additional counter space. The small ridges allow glasses or other hand washed items to sit just above the mat surface, so they dry perfectly. It's rated up to 400° so relatively hot things can be set on it. And it looks great sitting on stove when not in use. The not as good: It's a crumb magnet. Seems like no matter what I do on it, there are a lot of crumbs or tiny pieces of cut veggies, cheese, etc. left behind! If that happened on a kitchen counter, you'd just swipe them into your hand at the edge of the counter and toss them. But with the ridges on the mat you can't do that, so I use a damp cloth or paper towel to wipe it down and that gets most of them. Overall, I'm really happy with it. The crumb situation is sometimes frustrating, but that's a very minor trade-ff for the positives. The price was great too, very fair for the quality of the mat. I highly recommend it.

Just purchased a new electric ceramic top stove and needed something to protect the surface when not in use. this range cover is perfect. Excellent quality and perfect fit. And looks nice as well!!!

Not real thick but was ok for all I needed it for. I just wanted to keep my stovetop from getting scratched. It looks nice and serves the purpose. Open right up and the size was perfect.

Just completed a very expensive replacement of my range due to a cracked glass. I had no idea stove to covers were available. There are so many to choose from made of different materials and at different price points, I decided to give this one a try. It does a very good job covering up the surface of the stove, preventing scratches and damage to the surface. Very lightweight. Blends in well. Rolls up very easily to remove, folds over very easily of only using one side of the stove. The ridges on top do not bother me at all. They help to keep things slightly elevated of the surface, trap debris like dust and crumbs which can be easily brushed off or shaken off into the sink or garbage can. My single Con to this piece would be how thin it is. I didn't buy it based on its ability to retard heat or flames. It was more of a budget decision, with the possibility of a future upgrade. Because I suffered a crack in my glass stovetop that led to the costly replacement of the entire range, I would doubt this product would have much shock absorption value, as thin as it is. If this becomes a concern, I'll be sure to replace this one with a thicker cover in the future, but so far very satisfied with the performance of this cover.

This cover is perfect for a smooth cook top. It protects the surface but is not too thick or bulky and easy to clean. Highly recommend.

Bought this because I have horribly behaved cats who are of the firm belief that they are allowed to " I do what I want", and this includes running across the glass cooktop. Even though I am sick of constantly cleaning their toe bean prints, I am more fearful of them burning their little toe beans on the hot stovetop. Having this mat has allowed me to not only keep the glass clean and with a modicum of hygiene not otherwise readily available, but I am now very cognizant of potential burned cat feet. I am now diligent about putting a pan with water atop the hot burner until it is cool enough to cover the entire stovetop. This mat looks pretty, is lightweight and flexible enough to roll or fold away, is easily cleaned, but also sturdy enough to prevent the heat transfer and keeps not only the kitchen cleaner, but cat toebeans safe.

Trying to keep our flat top clean is a full time job in it of itself. I feel like every time I clean it, it only takes a day or two before it looks dirty again. So when I saw there was a type of cover that I could put on top, I was all in. It is a lot thinner than I thought it would be. And that's a good thing. This makes it so much easier to fold up and put off to the side when I need to actually use the stove. As a result of using this over, the stove top actually stays cleaner as well. Fits my stove top perfectly, too. So plenty of positives. Keeps the stove top cleaner, looks cleaner, easy to put aside. I would totally recommend this. I would highly recommend you measure your stove top before ordering just to make sure you get the right size

For some reason I had in mind a hard cover. It is rubber and is great for electrical kitchens without burners. But still I am able to use it to create a more even look and over the counter if I have to prepare meals. Size is true to size of stove surface. Fits nicely. Neutral color black. Has a side that favors the cover from not sliding and staying in place. Better in flat surfaces for attachment. Appears to be durable. Good price.

Fit perfectly on my oven. With this mat it add some courter top space to do preps when cooking wihtout scratching the glass of my oven.
