This hair wax is the only one that actually holds my hair down all day, and it does not come undone from wearing and taking off my hat. The shine is nice. This particular black version of redone is nice because it is uncolored, so if you don't manage to comb it in perfectly there aren't any red blobs left behind. I will say that I am not a fan of the scent, and I wish they would make an unscented version with the same functionality.

I like the lime smell and I love how it doesn’t cake up when you’re braiding hair. It lays the braids down smooth, & neat. I would definitely purchase this braid gel again.

Kept my hair slick

This works better than any edge control I’ve used. The hold is incredible, it lasts for several days, is shiny and slick, and the scent is pleasant. It does get a little sticky, but it doesn’t flake.

Best gel ever. I live the hold and shape in my hair after this gel application. No messy looks after application. Last full day without extra gel need it. Highly recommenddend.

I was looking for the Red One putty (lime green jar) that my barber used. It was going to take a longer time to receive and since this gel was prime I ordered it. The putty has a very distinct scent that always makes me feel like I just left the barber. This one is supposed to have the same scent but it is nearly undetectable. The hold is so strong that it will stay in your hair until you shampoo it out.

I interchange between this and the braid n gel for doing knotless and twist. Keeps hair neat without the flaky look.
