Review is for Hot Cocoa. This is a nice large bag of powder to make hot/iced chocolate. The instructions say to make on stovetop so that takes away from the ease of making. You just need milk and the powder mixes easily. Just be careful on the stovetop to not overheat because it'll clump. Overall drink was very rich and full of chocolate flavor and was good iced or hot. However for the price and effort, I don't know that the taste was all that much better than the easy make hot cocoa mixes that you can make right in your cup without a stovetop. If you are really picky about your cocoa maybe give this a try and see if there's a big difference and it's worth it for you as it pretty rich and thick.

This is a tasty, refreshing drink. Just the right amount of sweet and sour. There was only the slightest amount of aftertaste. This is good for a treat a few times a week, but a little heavy on the calories for a daily drink unless I'm substituting it for breakfast. I made this with oak milk instead of 2% milk. Even after adding the crushed ice, I found it was a little too thick. I thinned it out with a little more water and ice. That worked out well.

I expected it to taste sweeter, like gas station cappuccino or the old suisse mocha powder. Since this was pretty pricey I thought it would have a rich, sweet frappe taste. It's nowhere close to a frappe from a floofy coffee shop. The mocha flavor has a slight bitter taste that I like in a frappe, but without the sweet to balance it out, it fell flat. Unimpressed, especially since it's so expensive. Another complaint is that while I love the container, once I cut the wrapper to open the lid, the entire wrapper comes off, including the directions. I immediately forgot how much powder to add haha. I'll finish it out, maybe adding it to a small but of cold brew and a splash of sweetened creamer, but wouldn't buy again or recommend to a friend. This stuff is delicious, both prepared according to the instructions on the package (although I personally substituted soy milk for the regular milk), or by adding a scoop of the powder to some milk and vanilla ice cream, to make a delicious creamy lemon milkshake (this has definitely been my preferred way to prepare it. Not particularly healthy, but soooo yummy!) I also tried blending it into a smoothie with a scoop of vanilla protein powder, and it worked well that way, too -- definitely helped mask the chalky protein powder taste a bit, and made the whole thing more palatable. Only reason I can't give 5 stars, is because the package arrived slightly damaged and leaked delicious lemony powder alllll over the box it came in, so unfortunately a fair bit of it got wasted. I was a bit hesitant to still try it after that in case the remainder of the product had been contaminated, and really I probably SHOULDN'T have tried it anyway, and just thrown it away... but my love for lemony sweets won out over my common sense, so I wound up just dumping what was left into a Tupperware container, and fortunately it turned out fine and hasn't made me sick. If this had been a regular paid order and not a Vine order in my case though, that definitely would have been somewhat upsetting, and I'd have probably requested a refund or replacement, so hopefully that packaging mishap was just a fluke and won't turn out to be a reoccurring problem.

I was a little let down by the bag's lack of instructions to make frappe. Upon further inspection, I noticed the bag was Franzese's cocoa mix, not their Frappe, so I'll review this as hot cocoa. Basically, this is a generously sized bag of sugar and cocoa powder, with cornstarch and guar gum to give the drink a thick viscosity. The hot cocoa was unnaturally thick when cooked as directed. While sweet, the drink lacked real chocolate flavor. Other reviewers, based on their photos, appear to have also received the cocoa mix instead of the frappe as well, however, possibly didn't notice and reviewed it as the frappe.
