It’s so important to have a natural chopping board to ensure that you don’t contaminate your food with plastic etc. I’d thrown away some very old wooden chopping boards that were going a bit mouldy (yuck I know) and had bought another bamboo one that just shredded so was no good. When I saw this - I thought winner winner!! I cook and prep food an awful lot. And a good chopping board that helps me with this enormously. This has zero smell to it. Has a great finish on it so that it is easy to clean with just a rinse under the hot tap. Very sturdy and stable. And it looks just lovely. When I look at it it makes me smile! I know. I maybe need to get out more…. But it’s true!

Really really pleasantly surpriosed by the excellent quality and finish and lovely Acasia wood of this board. It comes well packed so arrived without damage, is a useful size and thickness, solidly made, from lovely interesting wood grains. It says it is handmade, and having other haqndmade wooden items from India in the past, the quality and especially the finsih can be lacking, but this had excellent finish and quality. It is pricey at £22 (Nov '24) but it is a lovely well made item - would make a great gift imo. The only slight thing my OCD noticed was that the handle cut into it wasn't 100% perpendicul;ar to the lines of the boards/grain on mine. Would have need a few degrees of rotation before they cut the handle opening. Still thats very minor and most would not even notice!

What you see in their photos is what you get. I confess, I have a chopping board fetish, I have at least a dozen, just love wood, each one is like a piece of art, with the different lines in the grain, beautiful. This one probably won't be used for a while, I like to 'cherish' them for a year before murdering them with knives (!) - well, it's wood, what do we expect - as soon as you start using knives on wood, it is the beginning of the end. I have bought many over the years, mainly from TKMaxx, for between £8 and £15, so this one, at £22, is more than I would usually spend on a chopping board, but being round and nice wood, I think it is worth the extra.
