High Strength Retinol & Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum - Advanced Face Moisturiser - Cruelty Free & Vegan

I was sent this to review as I am a micro influencer on Instagram, however the opinion is based on fact and not biased in any way.As with all products I test I have given this 4 week's, I am pleased to say this is a really nice product. I have been dealing with some areas of breakout on my skin and this serum has really helped to clear these up, and even with a very minimal ingredients list , it's effective, I cannot say I've seen a difference to the fine lines on my face but the texture of my skin has improved.I would class this as an oil and not a serum , which is personal choice, it's a very watery squalane base and a little goes a very long way, remember , products other than cleansers should "grip not slip" ....(stolen from Caroline Hirons) if you use the correct amount in my case 4 drops, I get nice facial, neck & chest coverage.For the price this is a good product with really good benefits, remember when using anything with a retinol producing effect in the skin it's imperative to wear SPF, because if you don't , you will seriously damage your skin and undo all the good work of great skincare.I would say having tried many other similar products , this is a super entry level retinol, don't be put off by the stregth percentage, it's very gentle and won't upset your skin, however I would always urge patch testing anything with an active ingredient before using it all over your face.I am looking forward to exploring more from TrueVits and this product has the @beyondthedressingtable stamp of approval.

I was gifted this product by the brand to test and I have to say that on the whole I'm pretty impressed. I use this product in a targeted way on my chin, and nose, where I get the most blemishes/blackheads, and on a patch of hyperpigmentation on my cheek and fine lines on my forehead. It's honestly worked incredibly at reducing the number of blemishes I get, and how long it takes for them to heal. It's also largely improved the look of my blackheads. In terms of hyperpigmentation and fine lines, I haven't seen the biggest difference.If you're looking for a serum to help reduce the appearance (and frequency) of your blemishes and blackheads, without making your skin really dry, then I'd definitely give this a go. You get a lot of product for your money and it's going to last a long time as it's a thin formula so you only need a few drops to cover the desired area.

I ordered this on Prime after using a different brand of retinol face oil because this is vegan friendly and well-priced. I like the dropper applicator, which makes this serum easy to apply.The main drawback is that I find the texture to be a little bit greasy, and it often feels like it doesn't absorb all the way into my skin. I have used other 2.5% retinol serums which I found to be more effective-- for me this one seems more like .5%- 1%. Perhaps it has to do with the size of the bottle and the effectiveness degrading over time?That being said I am reasonably happy with this, and do think it is good value for money. I use this regularly and have seen an improvement in pore visibility, and small breakouts.

I've given it three stars because compared to other brands, it's very thin. Having the consistency of an essence oil, it is tricky to apply to your forehead without getting it in your eyes. Also, unlike other serums, it is not absorbed very well by the skin and leaves a greasy layer on top of it (no matter how much you rub it in). That's not a massive deal because I use it before bed but still would have preferred it otherwise. Apart from that, it comes in the usual glass bottle with glass pipette and a label that is actually pretty nice. Haven't used it long enough to comment on it's effectiveness. Ordered a second one before the first one had arrived but I kind of wish I hadn't.

Hey guys, my wife has been using your product and this is her honest review about the Retinol Serum.Hi, my name is Cintia and I have been using this product for over a month and the results are amazing.My skin feels so nourished and radiant, also realised less spots .I am 33 years old, I have two babies and not much time to look after myself, every night after shower I apply the serum and it’s my little Treat for the day.It reduces appearance of wrinkles and that’s what I was so excited about trying!Another positive fact is the smell, is lovely, fresh and not very strong.The consistency is very lightweight and not oily at all, another bonus.Even my make up looks flawless after applying the serum, when the complexion is healthy the make up last longer and looks great.Super recomend this product.

Having oily acne prone skin left my skin with dark blemishes. I was looking for something to help with the hyperpigmentation so I didn't have to wear foundation and concealer all the time. A week after using this serum, my skin looked brighter and although at first,, there wasn't much change to the dark spots I could see an overall change in the tone of my skin. After 3 weeks of using it once a day I started to notice a difference in the colour of the dark spots, they seemed to be starting to fade slowly. After 6 weeks is when I saw a huge difference. Most of them have faded. Theres now only a few much lighter ones left. I am confident they will be gone completely in the next few weeks. This is perfect for black skin and I recommend it 100%.

This is good value for money with the massive amount that is in the bottle compared to other serums. However, it is advertised as a retinol at 2.5% and it’s simply not, it’s a weaker strand than pure retinol, so please check the ingredients list if you intend on buying this so you know what you’re getting. It’s great for a night time serum/antioxidant.

I've been using the Retinol Serum as part of my night time routine applying it mainly over my laugh lines and across my forehead and I feel as though it is helping to smooth out my laugh lines and slow down the process of it getting deeper.
