A kidney diet that our cat will eat!
Our 18 year old cat has kidney disease and won't eat her prescribed kidney diet food. With the Weruva Low Phos she gobbles it down. We feel good about caring for her kidneys and our cat gets to love the joys of life.

Special diet food. Worth every dime.
My cat has kidney disease and hyperthyroidism both require low phosphorus diet. Until I bought this food my baby wouldn't eat anything that was low in phosphorus. He now runs to his bowl every morning and almost always eat it all. Best find ever!!

No fish in this! All gel broth.
I purchased this for my wonderful cat who the vet said had the start of kidney problems. But, by the time this food came, my cat's illness became so bad he needed to die. But, after my heart crashed and time, I realized that I again needed cat loving in my life. So, I finally opened a can of this food for a taste test for my 2.5 year old kitty who can be a picky eater. I was shocked to see nothing but gel ... even after adding a little water to make the gel into a gravy, there weren't any fish-related pieces of food!!! None!!! Fish is listed as an ingredient on the can. So beware ... yes, it is a cheap price. Cheap for a good reason! I may add some tuna bits to gel with next serving.

Good phosphorus and protein profile for an OTC cat food
My 17 year old cat loves this food. It has the best low phosphorus and protein profile I can find in OTC food.

Cat does not care for this
Our cat has CKD and diabetes, trying this to get her to get more moisture from her meals. Initially she showed interest in it but quickly decided it wasn't great. Tried with three cans and the cat rejected each in kind over different days. I'm sure there are cats that will like this, but ours said no. Cat will eat other wet food and her prescription food - had hoped this would be a nice filler and less expensive option than the 'scrip food but alas, no. I'll donate this to the local shelter in hopes they can use it there.

3 oz cans too big for my plastic covers
After using some of the cat food, I want to save the rest and put it in the fridge. But my plastic pet food covers are just barely too small to fit around the top of that 3 oz can. After researching the problem, I realized that now I need to purchase silicone tops because they will stretch. Why can’t the cans be a standard size?

Good for my finicky cat
My cat who was recently diagnosed with CKD, actually loves this! I was skeptical at first because she's finicky. I mixed it with her old food to adjust, but so far it's working well for her.

Can will eat it. K/D food is awful
My kitty had borderline labs at the shelter indicating he may have early or new onset kidney disease. They have two food choices at the shelter: what every gets and k/d Rx diet so they had him on k/d. He wouldn’t eat his Rx diet at home and I think he was actually surviving on a flavored Hydra packet and small nibbles of k/d. I tried this low phosphorus food and he is eating much better. If your kitty has a advanced kidney disease you need an actual Rx diet and this food could be unsafe. I am trying it for my cat because 1) he’s borderline and 2) he gets another round of labs in 6 weeks; if his kidneys are the same or better he’ll continue in this food.
