It is actually quite absurd just how good this figure is. I am not exaggerating, when you open the box, it feels like you actually have a professional studio maquette of Baylan Skoll in your hands (see photos). I wasn’t expecting much, but just look at the photos. The face is almost perfection in terms of replicating the actor. The armor sculpt on the body is so ridiculously detailed. The paint application is simple but the weathering really made it all come together. The poseability is great, just what I’d expect from modern TVC, especially great work on the many joints of the leg/ankle, as well as the shoulder guard attachment. My one complaint would be that the ankle joint of the left foot of the figure is by default aimed a little too inwards. They got almost everything right with this figure, and I’m glad they did him such justice, as the actor has passed away. What a tribute to the actor’s last work. Amazing work to the team at Hasbro. It’s stuff like this that makes me really step back and enjoy the decades of figure development the 3.75” line has gone through. A work of art.
