Solid bike for the price - outstanding customer service
This is going to be a bit long because I rely on longer reviews by others to make buying decisions, especially reviews by parents. We needed a larger balance bike because my 4-year-old is tall for his age and we foolishly tried a pedal bike with training wheels first. (He loved training wheels, so much so that it was clear he might never want to give them up. He's not very athletic and tends to learn new physical skills slowly). So his height, the late start at balancing, and his inherited lack of athletic ability all suggest he's probably going to be on a balance bike for awhile. So. We ordered the Bixe and a Strider 14x Sport. The Strider is a better built bike. There's no two ways around it. It would be a good choice if you have multiple kids and plan to hand the bike down a few times as older sibs outgrow it because it just seems a little more heavy-duty. Other than that, it's negotiable whether the higher sticker price is worth it. You can add pedals to the Sport (for an additional $50), but the small tires and footrest make it look a bit like a little kid bike, so I would not be surprised if my child starts asking for a "big kid" bike when it's finally time to put the pedals on. When I was looking at bikes, I thought the footrest on the Strider would be important (as opposed to just grippy strips on the body of the Bixe), but my child never rests his feet on either bike anyway. He just lifts his feet up when he wants to coast. For less than half the price of the Strider, the Bixe is a great choice. I don't know how to articulate the difference in build between this and the Strider--the metal the Bixe is made of seems slightly less heavy-duty and when you're assembling the front steering wheel things fit together more loosely (which has zero impact on how the bike functions after you get everything put together). One nice feature the Bixe lacks is the ability to adjust the seat height without any tools. I've had to adjust the strider's seat height a few times while we were out riding, and it's really easy to do. You need the allen wrench to adjust the Bixe's seat. (That said, my child has never asked for the Bixe seat to be adjusted, which he has, a few times, on the Strider). However, I would not have noticed these differences if I hadn't compared the bikes side-by-side. In fact, we ended up keeping both bikes so one could stay at the grandparents.' On its own, the Bixe feels solid and can definitely handle anything a kid could throw at it. I am 100% confident it will hold up until my kid is ready to upgrade to pedals and will likely be in good enough shape to pass on to another family. My kid actually prefers the Bixe a little, maybe because it looks more grown up? He's too young to describe what difference--if any--there is in how they feel to ride. I just know riding it is one of the things he looks forward to when he goes to his grandparents' house. To sum up: My kid is thrilled with this bike and I am thrilled with the price compared to the Strider. Customer service: There was a minor problem with the Bixe bike I received that made it hard to put together. Bixe customer service went above and beyond to address the issue. Their response was fast and they resolved the issue way beyond what I would have expected. Bottom line, you don't have to shell out $250 for a bike. You and your kid will be happy with the Bixe. If you're still reading, hope this review helps you make a decision.

Perfect Starter Bike for Kids
The Bixe Balance Bike is an outstanding choice for kids aged 4 to 8, and our 4-year-old absolutely loves it! This bike strikes the perfect balance between fun and learning, helping children develop the necessary coordination and balance for biking without the need for pedals. Its sturdy construction ensures safety and durability, while the adjustable seat allows the bike to grow with your child. The ease of assembly and lightweight design mean kids can start riding right away with minimal fuss. For parents seeking a reliable and enjoyable way for their kids to embark on their biking journey, the Bixe Balance Bike comes highly recommended

Great buy, overall, for price - but could use improvements
I will preface this review by saying this bike has trained my three year old to ride with no training wheels, so our goal was achieved. Also, we have had this bike about a year, so hopefully some of these issues have been resolved... Pros: -The wheels are pneumatic, unlike a lot of the other balance bikes out there. Nice, smooth ride. -It is larger for bigger kids who have already outgrown the toddler balance bikes. Cons: -The seat and handlebars are difficult to tighten, sometimes requiring the coordinated use of two wrenches at a time. In addition, the front wheel has to be tightened about every hour of use. My husband says this could be easily managed with some locking washers, which he will be buying to put on this thing. -The seat is not easily adjustable (again, the two wrench issue, mentioned above, comes into play here) A lot of bikes these days have those loosening levers to easily adjust. The addition of this would make it perfect for my boys ages 3 and 5 to share the bike back and forth. But otherwise, this thing is great!

Customer service is a joke but decent product if you keep sending back for a new one
This bike is great however the first one I got the area where the handle bars fit into the frame of the bike was warped. The box I received was in perfect condition to this must have left the wear house like this. When I tried to get in touch with customer service, you automatically get a reply then nothing for 24 hours. Amazon gave me a phone number because none is listed above however it was not in operation. So I sent the bike back and requested a replacement. Obviously not happy this was an achievement present for my son. Second bike same thing but not as bad I was able to work around it. When I finally got a message back from the company they were unhelpful and rude. Told me they do not replace specific pieces as that is unsafe. My thought is their quality control is a bit unsafe. The bike goes together easy if it isn't bent out of shape. My son loves to rise it. He had no idea of the frustration I went through. And I will spare the long nasty conversation I had with the customer representative who was giving me a lecture on saftey when all she could tell me to do was return the product. Why even have a customer service respond at all. I went through 3 bikes to get a good one

Perfect for 7-8 year olds
If your child’s having difficulty balancing on their bike, please don’t wait like we did. Buy this balance bike for them. Our son is 7 years old and has motor planning difficulties, although he’s growing out of them, they still tend to show up from time to time. Making some motor planning such as bike riding a struggle for him. We just pulled out his balance bike and had him practice for about 4 days, 15-30 mins a day. We have the seat lowered to the lowest height so that when he sits down on the seat his feet are flat to the ground. At first all he did was stood inside of the bike but not sit down on the seat) and walked the bike. So we told him to sit his bum down on the seat and use his feet to move the bike which he did. Then the next time he rode it we told him once he gets a little speed going with his feet to lift his feet up. The great thing about the balance bike is that there aren’t any pedals in the way so as soon as they lift their feet up if they get scared their immediately able to put their feet to the ground to stop themselves from falling over. This bike even has 2 little pegs that are on each side of the back wheels so that they have a place to lay their feet on once their comfortable enough with lifting their feet up while the bikes moving. In the last picture you can see my sons right foot is on one of the pegs. These bikes are amazing. For anyone questioning what the difference is between these bikes and a smaller bike, there’s not much of a difference other than as I said balance bikes don’t have pedals on them so the child feels more control I’d imagine. Theres nothing in the way blocking their feet from stopping themselves when they want or need to. Basically these bikes are a size or 2 smaller than what they should be riding and that’s the entire purpose of them. So the child has more control over the bike. Seems obvious, but it honestly makes the difference in them learning how to ride a bike. Our son learned how to ride a bike in 4 days because of this balance bike. Our only regret is that we didn’t get this when he was much younger! I can’t express how proud not only we are of our son, but how proud he was of himself after learning how to ride a bike. Please buy this bike, your child too will be an official bike rider in just a matter of days! Good luck!

Well made. Well enjoyed!
This wonderful bike brought MANY days of happiness to our great grandson (a step up from his first). When he was ready to tackle the pedal bikes, it was a breeze!
