Sharp blade
Very sharp knife, with a good quality blade. I’m sure you can cut anything with this. The handle grip is good gives you a balance hit on anything hard to cut. I ordered it coz my previous one chipped while chopping the meat bones. But this one is very strong. The price matches the items. It’s functionally is good. Overall good purchase.

Sharp bone cutting knife
This is a review of ENOKING heavy duty full tang kitchen bone knife with wood handle which was priced at £39.99 at the time of posting this review. The knife is supplied with a leather sheath which it really needs to protect hands from the sharp blade when not being used, and it comes with a very stylish looking black box with gold writing which gives the impression of a quality product. I ordered this heavy duty bone knife as I can often get a leg of lamb half price. However, a whole leg is far too much for the 2 of us so I need a way to divide it up smaller portions and a standard kitchen knife just won’t go through the bone. I’ve damaged a couple of knives in the past on hard bones. I like the weight and feel of this knife in the hand. Although at 666g it is heavier than any other knife I have it doesn’t feel unwieldly as it is nicely balanced. The wooden handle is comfortable to hold. The blade is exceptionally sharp and is a lot thicker on the top of the blade than on the cutting edge. This gives it real power when chopping down on bone which it goes through easily. Overall, this is a very sharp knife that goes through bones without any trouble.

Its awesome
Love this. I do like knives generally, different styles etc. The more rugged ones, like this, impress me a lot. It's a "mans" knife for sure. Its heavy, has a nice solid feel to it and chops through chunks of meat with no issues at all. For use at BBQs it'll make a great talking point once the weather turns for the better. Managed to put a few dents in my chopping board when testing this out so might need to upgrade to a thicker board. Its not a cheap knife and due to the metal used you will need to hand wash, and dry it straight away to avoid rusting. Ideally coating it in oil before putting it away. I wouldn't get many knives like this because the care of them becomes a chore but this is a special case and Im very, very pleased with it. No one who likes cutting large chunks of meat, or BBQing would be upset receiving this as a gift. Its awesome.

Scarily sharp
I have a good selection of kitchen knives that was missing one thing, a bone knife, and whilst being a different brand this matches my Japanese set very closely. Is it any good? It is scary how well it chops, used on a rib steak earlier it dispatched it as if they it were made of butter and candy floss, you definitely need a hefty chopping board between the meat and your work surface. Any cons? I can't think of a single one. How I Rate - ***** Don’t think, just buy it! - **** Nothing to complain about, I’d spend my own money on this. - *** Does what it should but there may be better alternatives - ** Problems or issues encountered that outweigh any benefits. - * Run for the door! Whilst I do sometimes include photos and videos in my reviews, due to time constraints this will only be when I feel that doing so would serve a purpose in demonstrating how an aspect of the product works or fails. I only order Items that I or my family have a genuine use for and as such you can be sure that they are tested in real world warts and all situations. Whilst I did receive this item for free through the Amazon Vine program this has in no way influenced my review.

Was not finished
Update: My initial review needed this update as I was approaching the Chef’s Knife incorrectly, after using it for a couple of weeks I am very impressed with it, it’s extremely well made, balanced perfectly for its intended use and takes and holds a edge extremely well. It does function as a knife very well once it has a sharper cutting edge, but its best use is for butchering when it excels. Having had a bit more experience I can happily give it a 5 star rating. This knife arrived well packaged but with the final sharpening, it was too dull for me to put an edge on it with the tools I had at home, clearly a QC issue. However, it is an impressive tool, thick, robust steel cleaver with a full tang, looks very impressive and of a weight that not much will impede it, that once it has a blade! The sheath is also impressive, thick leather, well formed to the cleaver, it has a belt loop which is not really needed. If it wasn’t for the blade being completely unsharpened it would have been a five star. Seems good value as I’m giving the sell the benefit of doubt due to it arriving in the condition it’s in.

Heavy, sharp and gets the job done
Item received in good condition in a nicely presented branded box. The knife is a cleaver style and the first thing when picking it up is to notice the weight of the knife. It has a really heavy blade and head. In your hand it feels good although top heavy but this is where the power comes from to slice through big cuts of meat. The handle on it feels ok and a nice shape although its not completely smooth where the bolts that hold it together are they are slightly raised and the finish could of been a little better with this. Its blade has been sharpened really well and caution needs to be taken when using this due to its cutting ability. The box it come in gives lots of information on the knife and is really well presented. In use cutting up wings/thighs and steak so far it has sliced through everything with ease. Its a super powerful knife that has sliced through everything I have tried so far. I am very much looking forward to BBQ days when I can really put this to the test.
