Very flexible, easy setup, controls all my devices
I had a Logitech Harmony remote, but that one died and the product line was terminated. I did look at Sofabaton a few years ago, but their library did not have all my devices. I saw a positive review from channels I trust, and it was on sale, so I tried again. Today the library of devices is extensive, and the setup was easy. Then came the hard one: my Kodi/Raspberry Pi streamer. No Kodi was listed, but there was a Bluetooth keyboard. Since Kodi has tons of keyboard shortcuts, I tried it. How Bluetooth switches between setup and device control was confusing at first, but once you trust that Sofabaton does it right and you accept to let it go.. it works. I was impressed. The arrow keys worked right away, so I knew success was in my reach. I quickly understood how to remap the keys, a really easy process with minor quirks. I did not originally plan to use Bluetooth, but I am now glad it is there. I also tried the learning mode, and was confused at first. After you realize when to use the Sofabaton or when to use the app, it goes well, is quick and easy. Once I understood how the setup worked, I went for max comfort: how to make the sound level +/- keys always control my AVR (not the selected device) and how to make selection of input really simple. The smart phone app is _really_ good. Even while the Sofabaton features are not as advanced as the Harmony, I was able to achieve a more satisfying result with less effort. You have to repeat some setup for each devices, but you don't have to commit to hours of programming training like you needed to setup the Harmony. The Sofabaton is an impressive combination of simple and flexible. In the end you can do what you want thanks to a very user friendly interface. Some comments refer to Bluetooth not working well. It worked perfectly at first, then I found that it may take one or two touch before it reconnects. A bit annoying but not a huge deal for me. I feel that Sofabaton could improve the product usability by not disconnecting so early on inactivity.. That might be necessary to save battery usage? Last but not least, I no longer get the remote desynchronized on sequences commands (multiple devices) like regularly happened with the Harmony (the Logitech process for resynchronizing is a badly designed, lengthy morasse!). Overall I highly recommend this device. Sofabaton is a Chinese company: this might be a turn off to some. It is still worth it nonetheless.

Simple and useful
I was a big fan of the old Logitech Harmony Remotes. But since they no longer make them I decided to give this one a try. I didn’t give it 5 stars because of some minor nit picks. Overall it’s a decent remote. It does the job even though it doesn’t have the other features the higher tier model has. Such as an Activity option, for selecting one action to perform functions for multiple devices. Pros: 1 - simple layout of buttons and easy enough to use for my 8yr old. 2 - wide selection of codes to work with newer and older electronics. 3 - somewhat easy setup: I’ll explain why in the cons section 4 - strong enough IR signal that it can read through my entertainment center doors 5 - Bluetooth option. Was very helpful when linking to my Apple TV. I found that it was the easiest way for the remote to link up. 6 - size and weight are just right. Not overly big or heavy. Cons: 1 - no ability to control multiple devices with one setting (like and activity setting on old harmony remotes). I’ve had both styles of harmony remotes - a WiFi one that was also liked to an App that could also work as a remote…. AND…. I’ve also had another IR type remote that had the ability to use activity settings. Both obviously had different pricing just like the SofaBaton. So I guess you get what you pay for. 2 - the setup was not very easy at first. Don’t use the paper instructions. Watch the video tutorials. It will make it much simpler. Also, I had problems setting up my Apple TV via IR settings and ended up having to use the Bluetooth option. Super minor but worth mentioning. 3 - there is a delayed response sometimes when using the remote with your device. Not annoying enough to return it but it does take some getting used to. Again you get what you pay for. I’m sure the more expensive version doesn’t have this problem. In summary, it’s not a harmony remote. And you could buy a cheaper universal remote and get a similar performance. But I did that prior to getting this one and I’m actually happy I decided to go with this one. Just go into knowing it’s not going to be perfect and you’ll enjoy it as well. Realistically no remote is going to satisfy everyone’s expectations. I would buy it again.

This remote works really well with the multiple devices I have (TV, AV Receiver, Blu Ray Player, Firestick). You're also able to configure macros for multiple devices which is very useful. The negatives: The buttons are a bit "clicky" and the main method of switching devices is a scroll wheel, which in less than a year is no longer working properly. This Amazon purchase unfortunately isn't covered in Sofabatons 1 year warranty, so beware.
