Went on a cookery course and the professional chefs were using these so, I had to buy one! Pewrfect for Beef Wellington and other beef cuts!

I am a food safety panicker, so I figured it made sense to get a temperature probe and remove the guess work from cooking. I chose this brand as it is the same as the one used in a kitchen where I used to work, so I knew it would be reliable and easy to use. It functions perfectly and I have found it to be accurate. As with all LCD screens, you have to be at the right angle to read it, but you can use the hold button to keep the temperature on display to help with that. It's a solid instrument and easily handles the home kitchen environment. I would definitely recommend this one over several of the more expensive brands - it really is exceptionally good value (and a bonus that it comes in so many colours, so you can either match it to your kitchen, or easily tell apart different probes for different food uses).

Not sure why - food is to temp (way above requirement at times) but it takes way longer to get to show on reader?

Great item dose what its supposed to, had a white one before but husband took it to use on his fish tank. So this was a replacement.

An essential piece of kit for an amateur like me. Takes away the strain of guessing whether meet is cooked properly and by getting the temperature right, avoids overcooking! Wouldn't be without it!
