This powder turned completely black when I added water to it. This indicates low quality and/or a presence of impurities and contaminants like iron. Perhaps I got a bad batch, but I will be avoiding this product. Had I mixed it in to something opaque, I may not have noticed... Yikes.

I've been trying to eat a bit healthier lately, so I thought I'd give this gum acacia powder a shot. It's supposed to be great for digestion and is packed with fiber. I mixed it into my smoothies and it blended pretty well. The taste is neutral, which is nice because it doesn't overpower my usual flavors. I noticed some improvements in my digestion, which is a big plus. However, I did find it a bit tricky to get the right amount without it becoming too thick. It can also clump a little if you're not careful when mixing it in. Here are some quick pros and cons: Pros: - Good for digestion - High in fiber - Easy to mix into drinks - Neutral taste Cons: - Can clump if not mixed well - Might thicken blends too much

The listing states that this product “rich in water-soluble dietary fibres Soothes coughs and sore throats” (at the time of this review), however, I found this excessively difficult to dissolve in water. Even going several rounds with a milk frother spinner, I found that much of this just clumped at the bottom of the glass. The bottle itself says nothing about sore throats, but treats it purely as a cooking additive, so the actual use case is confusing. It does have no taste, so as an additive, it should not impact overall flavor.
