Gentle, great color, covers stubborn grays!
The reviews on this product are mixed, and I dont really understand how so I'm writing this to add my two cents..While on vacation I purchased this from CVS because my grays were really grown out.. The instructions were very easy to follow..I applied the clear primer, then mixed the developer and color together and began to apply to my roots. After waiting 25-30 min, I could see the color had developed fully and rinsed the dye off in lukewarm water in the shower then applied the included conditioner. My hair came out amazing, felt much softer than my previous brand, the color was a great match and all grays were actually covered!I did notice that when the bathroom was cold, the color wasnt developing as quickly until after I turned a heater on inside the bathroom.. but I've also noticed this with other brands in the past. After my hair dried, it did feel much softer, not as dried out as with the other brand.. and the color lasted without fading until the next time my roots grew out!I actually ended yo switching to this brand and the Toscana color, because its a more natural color and tone for my complexion! After 2 root touch ups, the color looks even nicer since I'm able to see it grown out a couple of inches, and it looks great in the sunlight! As for the "multidimensional" color, I didn't notice any significant miracles with the middle or ends if my hair because I've dyed it so dark the last 15 years, that nothing is going to add any highlights or dimension.. I do plan in using this and we'll see how it looks after the old brand has completely grown out, I can't wait to see my hair completely colored by this brand in the Toscana color.I had a great experience with this product and other brands failed to color all of my grays.. I was definitely impressed by the performance, the smell, it feels more gentle than my previous brand, and my hair doesn't feel as dry or coarse after using this 2 times.I hooe this helps anyone in the fence about purchasing this.. I may update this review again after more touch ups, and I think there are going to be some nice before/after photos too, as the color is more natural on me than any previous dyes I've used.

Effective color change, even color result, with little or no damage to hair
I used 6.4 Light Copper Brown on my medium golden brown hair—so, not a dramatic change, just swapped the tone and lightened one level. It turned out beautifully, and my hair doesn’t feel dry at all—honestly, it doesn’t even feel like I colored it, just POOF magic color change. I started my 30 minute timer after completing the application, and left it on for an extra five minutes, per the box’s instructions for 6.4 (and a few other tones).I bought two boxes back in February, and only got around to using them recently (July). Two boxes was enough to coat my knee-length hair, which was a nice surprise. However, there was not enough primer to coat my hair; I just combed both sachets through and hoped for the best. It seems to have turned out well.I use AHA in my skincare (it’s a mild chemical exfoliant, among other things), so I knew I’d react well to it. I still did a patch test with everything in the box, because it’s a new formula and you never know.Note: Don’t put the primer on your scalp! The instructions have this caution, but I see from a couple reviews here that some people didn’t notice that. :-) It won’t cause any harm, but there might be some itching or stinging if you have a sensitive scalp. Mid-lengths only! For me, there was no unpleasant smell, and no hair damage. You may already know that ammonia isn’t the damaging component of hair color—that’s the odorless hydrogen peroxide in the developer. However, the ammonia doesn’t make the experience pleasant, so I’m glad this formula is both effective and ammonia-free. It also doesn’t drip badly, and it was remarkably easy to wipe up stray specks. I’m used to spending the development time cleaning up, but it was a breeze this time.It was a conservative color change, but I’m really pleased with how it turned out. No hot roots, no uneven color, no damage that I can feel. I’ve already ordered two more boxes in another shade and level, to make a more dramatic change next time I color. Reds are always tragically short-lived, but I’ll update this review if the color fades faster than competing formulas. So far, so good!

Very Gentle
Pros: Very gentle which has been great since I experienced breakage around my edges with other brands. Doesn't have a strong smell. Cons: Color doesn't stay very long. I have to retouch every 3 weeks but my hair isn't breaking off so that's a win.

Very DARK
The color is off, by a lot. I tried two different 6s and my hair came out very dark, it's almost blue-black in some front sections. I've used L'Oréal for a long time and got ok results with 6. My hair is sensitive to BG (blue-green) in hair dye so I always expect a little darker but not black. The only reason I haven't given up on finding a color yet is that the gray coverage is the best I've ever had, from a salon or a box, and my hair is very soft and shiny afterwards. The color is rich, but just wrong. I'm going to try some a 7 and see if that would give me medium tolight brown, fingers crossed

Perfect dark blonde
Very pleasantly surprised. Color came out exactly as shown. Applied like most hair dyes, smell not too strong, but the color! It's just about impossible to find a dark blonde that isn't light brown, drab or too light. My new favorite hair color! Hope they don't discontinue.

Best Hair Color System Ever Sunset Rose
The Coral Sands Sunset Rose hair color was amazing. I was surprised that when I rinsed the color out No dye colors seemed to come out in the water. It must be the 3 step system of pretreating, coloring and setting ingredients which let the color actually set in instead of most rinsing out. My hair came out a bit browner than my usual light auburn colors yet I have a nice red sheen and my hair is so soft now. It's the best I have ever used.
