Very solid product that looks great and works great
I’ve been using the Aieve Spirographic WDT Tool for a while now, and it has exceeded my expectations. The build quality is outstanding—this is a solid, heavy-duty tool that feels premium in your hands. The spirographic design not only looks sleek but also works beautifully to evenly distribute coffee grounds. Highly recommend for both its functionality and aesthetic appeal!

Low quality control, easy to break, OK function.
Updating review after returning and replacing. The first one I got didn’t have gears that connected or were properly tightened resulting in the attached video. The replacement seems to function properly. It is very easy to damage the needles on these units and replacement is a bit tricky. Because of bad quality control and difficulty in use, I give 3 stars, but otherwise it works ok and looks beautiful.

Great way to gear up for coffee, hefty and a cool design!
Overall a great coffee distribution tool, probably the most one step solution to fluffing your espresso grounds. The tool overall is very well built and quite hefty, and comes with its own base. I appreciate the space between the gears and your portafilter, I have been using it for a while now and haven't had any problems with grounds getting stuck in the gears. My only complaints are that it is pretty easy to bend the distribution wires if you don't place the tool properly on your portafilter or the stand which I have done a few times already. A good tool if you're looking to distribute your coffee grounds, and definitely brings attention to your coffee routine.

Premium tool for great price point
Works very well and looks fantastic on the counter. Metal construction makes it feel durable and premium, and I love the see-through top and the brass gears. A few quick turns and I noticed my shots had immediate improvement in consistency and less channeling. My only minor gripe is that the needles aren’t adjustable for different basket sizes, but at this price point I think that’s completely reasonable.

Beautiful tool but naturally pushes grounds to pile up on outer edges
This Aieve Spirograph WDT tool is a conversation starter for sure. I love the random orbital type motion that it gives to the espresso grounds. The construction is solid, it has a great weight to it and it doesn’t feel cheap at all. I like that the design has notches that line up with the portafilter and the base to keep the needles safe and aligned. I have used it for a couple weeks now and I’ve found that it absolutely breaks up and aerates the grounds, and the rotational motion causes the grounds to push out to the edges, so much that they pile up high in the basket and almost make for even more of a mess. I have been needing to push the piled up grounds back into the basket with my fingers prior to using the tamper or distributor because the grounds would just spill out of the sides of I didn’t and it will make a big mess. Compared to a manual WDT tool with a funnel, this Spirograph WDT is not as good as the classic method. It’s an amazing design but functionality wise, it’s way too much for an outcome that isn’t perfect and still requires manual intervention in order to get a clean puck prep, maybe if I were to bang the portafilter on the counter prior to removing the WDT tool, then my piled up grounds situation won’t be an issue. I also found that when spinning the tool, it tends to jam up and stop turning occasionally, the gears must tent to catch on the wrong spot on each other and to fix it you just reverse direction for a small amount and it resolves each time. The box does come with spare needles which is nice to have. The tool fits just fine on the portafilter, there is some tolerance. Overall it’s fun to use, looks great and is quite pricey when you can achieve a better puck prep with just a manual needle tool and funnel.

Needle type powder distributor design reasonable, feel good, uniform and thorough cloth powder
The Aieve Spirographic WDT metal espresso dispensing tool is really great, it can be called a work of art, the feel, the look, the workmanship are all very good, impeccable, easy to operate, and worth the price. It solved my problem of uneven distribution of powder, and the taste of coffee has been significantly improved. The design is simple and elegant, and it looks good on the operating table. It is really a tool worth buying! This Aieve Spirographic WDT metal espresso dispensing tool really improves my sense of coffee ritual. The design is so beautiful, full of design sense, and the super cool gear design makes people excited! Every time I brew coffee, I feel very satisfied when I see these exquisite gears! And it is really easy to use and very practical. I enjoy making coffee every day. I use the Aieve Spirographic WDT metal espresso dispensing tool to turn it twice, and the powder is evenly distributed. It looks like a work of art. It feels very good, the powder is evenly distributed, and the taste of coffee has obviously improved a lot! The coffee extracted every time is more delicate. The only suggestion is that I hope the designer can consider making the powder needle adjustable up and down in product design to adapt to different powder bowl depths. The current powder needle position can only be used on 18g powder bowls.

Looks great but the pins broke withing one use
The product looks fantastic, has a solid build, and feels substantial in hand. However, I was disappointed when the pins came out after just one use.

A must have in your coffee arsenals.
Using a bottomless portafilter is the best way to determine whether or not you are properly preparing the puck correctly. Why my portafilter would spray coffee all over the place was a mystery to me for a long time. Many pundits on YouTube have mentioned that it's a distribution of coffee evenly and breaks down any clumps that may form on your portafilter to prevent channeling. I've tried a traditional WDT that you get for $10 on Amazon, but nothing would work. I came across this Aieve Spirographic WDT; I thought I gave it a try. This is a game changer. The product is heavy and feels premium in your hand. It's distribute the coffee evenly on your portafilter and break down all the clumps in about 9 turns. I get my perfect puck every time without channeling in my portafilter.
