You won't be disappointed.
Amazing hiking boots. Super comfy, waterproof, and rugged. They barely even took any breaking in. My second time using them was a 3 day trip to the Tetons where I put about 50 miles on these bad boys and I came out with absolutely no blisters or hot spots. They are the most expensive hiking boots I've ever purchased, but they are worth every penny.

Truly superior product
These are the best hiking shoes I have tried out. I love the lightness, quality, comfort, look, and support of these shoes. The price is reasonable for the quality. I highly recommend buying leather conditioner and learning about how to care for these, so that they last you a long time.

It's a tight fit.
The boots fit tight but once I get them on they feel good. I can't seem to get my feet to slip in like I can with other boots. I don't care for the top lace things on the boots because it's hard to get the laces tight. Sometimes it's hard to get the laces in the slot.

Initial quality and fit is great
My initial impression of these is they are quite nice. They were definitely more narrow than other boots I've had so the recommendation to go up a size was a good idea. They fit quite good with a medium weight sock on. They would be a bit tight with a heavy sock so take that into account. the look is great and they feel lighter than i was expecting. The sole has a grippy rubberized feel to it, when you walk there is a natural curve to the sole like it's already broken in. Im not sure how they will hold up to sharp rocks on trails but I suspect not as good as a very hard sole boot. For my needs on mostly flat trails it will do fine. Im coming from a very old pair of Keens Oregon PCTs (10+ yrs old). the sole was separating even with boot glue so time to upgrade. These boots are definitely lighter, but the leather also doesn't seem as thick. We'll see how they hold up.

Superior Hiking Boots!
These may be the most comfortable hiking boots I've ever put on my feet; even more comfortable than my running shoes! The ankle support is very good, they breathe very well, and fit like a glove! I've always worn a size 12, and 12 fits perfect; you probably don't need to size up or down. Soles are exceptionally grippy on granite! These are just all-around superior quality boots, and they will be on my feet when I hike through Yosemite and the Sierra Nevadas this fall! Just buy them; worth it!

I did not get my money back
I had to return these shoes , they were a little too narrow for my son. The quality is good, but I had an issue with my return. One of the return options was to drop of at Whole Foods store. For some reason, I did not get my money back. Money was credited to my Amazon account. Is this a new rule? Why did they do that? I need my money back.

These are my third pair
This is my third pair of Nucleo boots. I keep buying them because they fit my narrow feet, and not many boots do. I'm out hiking most weekends on some pretty rocky trails. A pair of these boots lasts me about 1000 miles. I replaced my first pair because the lugs on the sole were worn down too much for good traction, though I still use these boots for yard work. My 2nd pair is no longer waterproof, though I still wear them when I am unlikely to wet my boots with rain or stream crossings. The boots are light weight and very good for day hikes. I haven't worn them on backpacking trips, though I don't know why they would perform well with a heavier pack.

Love them + a few tips
I have hiked around 115 miles in these in past 3 months: 1- the goretex sides of the shoes started to tear open but I fixed them by superglue before it opens up too much to be repaired and now they're working fine. U have to take care of ur boots regardless of the brand and the price uve paid specially if ure using them heavily and for purposes they're not built for. 2- mines are for narrow feet but I have laced them up from two loops up and now they fit nicely on my relatively wider feet. 3- I have used them so many times with lace-up crampons and they fit and seat nicely on my crampons. However They're not meant to be used with crampons or for mountaineering in snow and ice. 4- in my experience they are waterproof. If they touch water for example if u walk across a stream or step into a puddle they will do fine even if water is ankle high but if water stays on them for a while for example if snow accumulates on them for a long time they will get wet (again my understanding is that these are not meant for hiking in snow). U can wax them to improve them. all together I count these shoes to be perfectly waterproof. 5- after around 115 miles, the soles are in a perfect condition. 6- as they have leather in them and as dirt kills the leather, I always (after every single hike) wash the dirt off of them let them air dry and then wax them. this has helped with keeping the leather section fine. 7- they are very very very comfortable for log distance backpacking trips.
