I brought these strings for a half size eletric guitar that kept playing out off tune thou it was in tune when strings play open, this solved the problem you need thicker strings as light strings will bend to much hence ( it will play out of tune with light gauge strings ie, 9s, 10s or 11s I think 12s would be as good as 13s if you suffer from sore fingertips easyerly but do not go below 12s

I have been playing for over 40 years and very experinced at stringing guitars .Purchased these , put the first E string on and tuned up as normal and to my horror the bottom of the first E string unwound completely and the small ring popped out. It was unrepairable .Had to replace E string with another make of string (I used a B from a smaller gauge). So far so good but I am very disappointed in the quality of this strings and the fact the E string was duff .
