Best Shoes compared to other brands!!
I tried on many hiking shoes thanks to the use of Amazon Try Before You Buy program. These shoes hands down has the best quality and build of the other common shoe brands. The fit was as expected. These were very comfortable on my 33-mile backpacking trip. No sores and aches from wearing these shoes. Also very light and has great traction. Would recommend

As expected from Salomon.
I have wear Salomon shoes for almost two decades already. It's the only brand of sport shoes I use and never disappoint me. These are not the exception. The shoes are very comfortable and I can walk all day without getting tired weather a city walk or in a mountain hiking. And these in particular looks stylish, more like sneakers than hiking shoes so I can also wear them with jeans or casual clothes. I may buy a second pair to keep them as replacement for when my first pair wear out.

A 1 year review!
To preface, I wear these as a police officer. I work 12 hours shifts, 14 days a month, 12 months a year. I also teach on the range and wear these for those days as well. I also workout on my lunch break which includes lifting and running. I am 1 day short of my purchase date so I suppose this is close enough for a review. Durability. These are extremely comfortable and lightweight. Seeing as these are made for trail running, I am happy that they have held up for as long as they have. You can see where most of my weight goes when walking, but there is still tread left even after a year on pavement. I am disappointed with how the fabric on the seams is tearing. Only a few spots, and it is right where a flex point is. Fit. The toe box is snug to tight like most Salomon footwear. The tongue up the ankle is surprisingly loose and is hard to snug down. I did notice for the first few shifts that these would hurt my arch. I started to loosen up the laces by the toes and have had zero issues since. Could just be my feet too. Feetures (see what I did there?): the GoreTex works well! We had a big rain day and there was standing water everywhere. I was walking through puddles and my feet stayed dry. Rain would land and bead off. Even a year later I am still not worried about water getting in. I have had a small amount of water get in through the ripped seams, but that was negligible. Overall. I will see how much longer the tread lasts. I am actively searching for a different pair to wear going forward because these only last 1 year. For the $110 I paid, I think it was worth it. But I won't pay full price for a shoe that will only last 1 year in reality.

Very comfortable. Highly recommend.
Extremely comfortable and truly waterproof. Does get a little hot in summer though. I use these only for winter and fall. I have low arches and pronation and these are still very comfortable.

Very nice boots!!!
Bought these to hike in Yosemite. Didn't require any break in time, fit well, good traction and waterproof. Happy to finally have an appropriate pair of hiking boots. Plus they look pretty good, so I'm very happy.

Light, flexible, waterproof
Used Merrels for years and loved them. Buddy had some GTX high top, so I tried these out. Well worth the money! Melting snow made everything muddy and fishing on edge of running water, feet stayed dry. 10.5 in Vans, same size in these. Feel like little clouds under my heels

Disappointed
Have owned Solomon boots in he past and loved them. These are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever owned. Bought them a size larger. They are so narrow and I do not have a wide foot. Trying shoe trees in them to see if they will stretch. If not, to the dump with them.

Somewhat disappointing for Salomon
By the name, I guess that they intend this to be a mid-height approach shoe as much as a hiking boot. It has a Med-Hi tongue gusset for debris exclusion, but the weak lacing pattern makes it difficult to achieve a good ankle lock and heel seat. The overall construction quality is excellent. The trail lugged sole is particularly strong and grippy. There is moderate cushioning, but the insole is worthless and must be replaced with an orthotic to be true hiking boot. With an orthotic, they feel good but have a slightly sloppy heel fit owing to the lace pattern. The decision to use a heel tab instead of a loop makes it difficult to put on without completely relaxing the laces. Salomon discontinuing this model is not a loss as there are superior boots out there at this price point.
