These valves allow me to wear shorts in the gym without my catheter leg bag showing. They are easy to use once you have worked which position closes the valve, and which is the open position. They should Not be used if you have a small-capacity bladder - for example post prostate radiotherapy.

This product changed my life. I was catheterised last year and felt like my life was over. I love going to the gym and wasn’t confident enough to do that with a bag on. I discovered this product and it was neat enough to tuck into my gym shorts meaning I could like a relatively normal life. Just remember to shut the valve when wearing without a bag.

Very good catheter valve . With the grips it keeps the tube secure . I bought these because the one I have on the nhs are out of stock . They could only offer me the bard valves which are not very secure . I can very recommend them to alternative the nhs supplied .

Have waited a few weeks before reviewing this item as I wanted to see how it performed. I must say I am highly delighted with the product. Like most people that have had a catheter inserted I was fitted with a bag. This was totally inconvenient especially as I was dealing with my disabled wife. This item has meant that I can lead a more or less ‘normal’ life whilst I wait for my prostate procedure. Easy to fit and change. I couple of tips for male users. Wear pants in bed to protect the tube and carry a 1 pint plastic milk carton in the boot of your car if you drive. I find that sometimes I find the urge to pass water and can do so using the empty carton whilst sitting in my car with an old newspaper over my lap to cover what I am doing. If you are in two minds about trying this product do it - life is so much easier without the bag.

I was forced to change clothes three times in 45 minutes twice because the valve became disconnected and once because the tap opened by itself. As a trained nurse I know how these things work. If I should have gone out I would have been in right mess

Months into this full time catheter journey with my husband, could not live without these Ugo cath valves. He gets his medical from the VA but so far they have not even heard of these. I think they are looking into it though. They have operated perfectly, no leaks, easy for someone with Parkinson’s to handle themselves. It easily connects to the over night bag/bottle to let us sleep! Best of all, he hasn’t experienced one UTI since using this product. Appears to promote bladder health by allowing intermittent drainage during the day. Always delivered quickly from Amazon. A little pricey but some things in life ( quality of life) one can’t compromise. Other reviewers have commented on other brands, some negatively, but we have no intention of experimenting with any other type or brand.
