A perfect flawless finish. Having pale skin I've always had trouble finding the perfect foundation and powder and I don't think I can improve on MAC

This powder has become my go-to finishing touch. It sets makeup beautifully without looking heavy or cakey. Instead of a flat, powdery finish, it gives the skin a natural, healthy glow that feels like skin—just a little more polished. The texture is lightweight and silky, so it blends seamlessly over foundation or even on bare skin. I’ve used it with both brushes and sponges, and it never clings to dry patches or emphasizes pores. It also wears well throughout the day. My makeup still looks fresh after hours of wear, and I don’t feel like I need to constantly reapply. A little goes a long way, so one compact lasts a long time.

MAC must have changed recipe of this powder. It’s not as solid as it used to be. When I put my brush to it, the powder turns to talc and it’s just a mess. Because of this new consistency, it wastes away faster than it used to.

I already had this exact product that I bought from the MAC store (the closest one being 2hrs away because we I live in a smaller city) so naturally when it ran out I decided to order it online as opposed to driving two hours to go get it. I have to admit I was a little disappointed with the quality of the product. I don't know if the powder was expired or wasn't maintained in a controlled temp/humidity environment, but the makeup itself was like a rock in the palate (whereas the one I had purchased from the MAC kiosk was a loose powder that easily went onto my makeup brush and onto my skin). It's like I really have to work my brush into the palate to get the makeup up. It was a good price and saved me a drive, but honestly when I'm done with this one I'll make the drive to the MAC store directly so I can get one that is fresh/unexpired. I felt like that was part of the appeal of the original product.
