I bought this television because it was a "non-smart" TV. I just wanted to keep life simple. It worked for 9 months, and then the screen went black. The TV had audio but no picture. I filed a claim with Westinghouse back in August 2024. It took 2 months for them to approve my warranty claim. Now, here's the fun part, I have been waiting for the refund check for the last 4 months. I get an email about every 3-4 weeks saying that the claim has been approved, and they are just waiting for their bank in California to cut the check. I have called them a couple of times to check the status, and all they can say is the check is waiting to be cut. Will I ever get the refund check? I am still waiting... Buyer beware.....

Why I bought this. This is for my elderly mother who doesn't know or want to deal with a smart tv menu, which is annoying to navigate even for me. What I like: 1 - Non-smart TV, glad corporation still considers the needs of the elderly. Super stoked these are available, top selling point. 2 - Abundant connectivity for HDMI, RCA ports for legacy devices. 3 - This TV is ridiculously light, maybe 3 lbs at most, if you can carry a grocery bag, you can carry this. What I don't like: 1 - Really cheap plastic stands and connecting pins under the TV (a small piece broke) while trying to figure out the mounting process. 2 - Unnecessary large TV remote. 3 - Not automatic input detection. You need to manually select the input device, e.g. HDMI 1, 2 or RCA 4 - This one can be a turn off, 720P resolution...

Only has 2 HDMI inputs, not 3 as advertised when I purchased (which is why I selected this unit). Other than that it's fine.

Well, I really wanted to like this TV because it’s not smart. I have no idea how on earth people still watch regular TV with the commercials & ads every 6-8 minutes. I am a die hard TiVo fan. This TV allows TiVo to open but will not allow the TiVo to search for a compatible remote control code. Who wants to go back to the dinosaur age and use TWO REMOTES? Using TiVo to select content without the ability to operate the volume is insanity! THAT was a dealbreaker and yes, I tried getting help from TiVo Community as well as Westinghouse to no avail. Today, I returned the TV. TV: Its just ok, nothing to write home about but then again, it’s a non-smart TV. Workmanship: Ho-hum is how I felt about how cheaply it was made (both TV & remote). I knew it wasn’t a good sound product just picking it up. It’s soooo lightweight & coming from a 27 year career in import/export I knew perfectly well I overpaid & was able to estimate the actual price range based on functionality, brand and overall experience after processing tons of shipping manifests over 27 yrs (when products appear on a manifest, US Customs requires the actual value) I won’t divulge what my range was but it’s safe to say, I didn’t make out like a bandit on this purchase. What’s weird is I specifically searched out an American made HD TV because that’s all I wanted; something simple even though I consider myself a tech savvy person that rarely has any challenges in this space. This, I just couldn’t justify but… Kudos: The well-documented slew of reviews as it relates to many brands opting to use poorly constructed flimsy legs for TVs didn’t happen with this unit. It may look like the other flimsy stands but its solid and I had no worries about instability Sound: I thought it was not the best but acceptable for a unit in this “price range”. Picture Quality: It’s not too bad after a few adjustments to settings which nowadays often offers volume control that has to be set high. Not so with this unit, I thought wow as I lowered the sound after seeing just how loud it could get. It just wasn’t going to work for me using two remotes the way we did in the 90’s.
