Accu-Chek Guide Glucose Monitor Kit for Diabetic Blood Sugar Testing: Guide Meter, Softclix Lancing Device, and 10 Softclix Lancets

My sweet 5 month old baby boy was diagnosed with Congenital Hyperinsulinism at 3 weeks old after being in the NICU with severely low blood sugar for weeks. He is on medications to keep his sugar levels up but we still have to check him several times a day. We use the Accuchek Guide meter that was given to us at the end of our NICU stay. I ordered the control solution because I am always worried that our meter isn’t accurate for some reason and needs to be calibrated. It was affordable and came in the mail quick with prime. It was super simple to use and to be honest I didn’t even ready the instructions. Like the blood requirement when testing It only requires a very very small drop onto the test strip and then I just followed what the meter said to do. You have to be careful though because the solution comes out really quickly. So far, it has worked great and we haven’t had any issue or our meter read out of range with the solutions. We use it every time we open a new container of test strip or have to change the batteries in the meter and it has always been accurate and within range. We have even compare it to our hospital and doctors readings with at visits. This has helped keep my mind at ease that I am getting very close to correct blood sugar readings on my sweet boy when at home!

Excellent product, easy and accurate!

I love Accu-Chek products and this meter is no exception. I have been using their products for 25 years. This meter is easy to use and hold. It’s easy to read. And the port where you have to insert the strip lights up. The meter stores your data and you can get a readout of your averages. That is my favorite feature. It’s a great help in managing my blood sugar.

Meter is fine. Delivery was unacceptable. Package wasn’t delivered to our residence but dumped behind our community mailboxes. Totally unacceptable.

I messed up on my first order, thinking it was meter,strips,lancets. I misread...no meter. So I got meter yeasterday & there was no lancing device. Sold separately. I found at Walgreens for 1/2 the price of Amazon. It does say meter only but who in their right mind would think it didn't have a unit to get blood out of my finger? They need to add "lancing device not included" or "sold separately". The meter is nice. Small & compact, easy to use. It says it's compatible with phone app & they did suggest one & all I found in app store wanted $$. It's not that important.
