It's a great blend of peppers. I liked it the first time I bought it, but then I found a cheaper one from another brand that was not of the same quality, so now I'm back to this one. I will buy only this kind. It's fresh, smells great, has good whole grains (very little "dust"), and most importantly, the ratio of different types of pepper is perfect. Because the cheaper versions are dominated by black pepper (it's the cheapest), and there are much fewer colored ones. This brand has everything perfect.

Although I do use pre-ground black pepper in most of my recipes, I prefer this blend of peppercorns for fresh ground pepper at the table. Granted the variety of colors looks pretty in my glass peppermill, but, more importantly, this blend of peppercorns is less intense than using only black peppercorns. Each color is produced differently, and has a different flavor profile. So, this blend is perfect for table use.
