I like fresh fruit for breakfast and at least where I live, pineapple is a low-cost option. I think that is mostly because people don't know how to go from large fruit with impressive foliage to serving. The corer works quite well for this purpose. I used to spend 10 or 15 minutes slicing and trimming the fruit to get at the sweet delicious parts. With the corer, the entire process takes less than 2 minutes. The first time out, I tried the slicer with near-disastrous results: pineapple slices everywhere. Having learned that lesson, I now just take a sharp knife and cut the cylinder of cored fruit into quarters. Much easier, with lots less mess. I have also found that going all the way to the bottom of the fruit results in the least waste. If the core is just cut, you're there.

I love kitchen tools! im a gadget freak! This pibeapple slicer is so amazing! its a hit if a truck to cut iff the cirrect amount if top to get slices to come iut right but just a little practice and it easy to master. I git this device primarily because I hate cutting iut thise like eyes left on the slices by cutting it with a knife. This truly works!! It cuts through pretty quick and theres no rind pieces left on the slices. You will want to use a cutting board when slicing as it does cause the juice to flow out. it is a nice sturdy piece. It can take me leaning in a bit as I crank it through the pineapple. i haven’t tried using it with other fruit yet but I’m sure it could be used in many other applications and will be versatile. This company shipped it very quickly as well!

I am surprised how easy to use this cutter is. I bought this to replace a cheap plastic one I had. The metal teeth cut straight through the fruit with minimal effort. The spiral cutting vertically was so easy to use, I'm shocked at the difference from the plastic one, which more mangled its way to the bottom. The handle on this one easily snaps onto the cutter tube. The tube itself has a handy depth gauge printed on the side, and to top it off the wedge cutter chops everything into a fridge friendly size in less than 2 minutes. Heck I used to spend 10 or so either using the cheap plastic cutter, or carefully peeling the pineapple with a knife. If you've tried a plastic one you will love this metal one.

This product works very well, you have to put some body weight down on it as you're turning it, but it is very easy to use. Cleaning is easy, I just rinse it well under very warm running water until the next time I do dishes; there are a few tiny bits of pineapple left on it sometimes after rinsing (in crevices), but they can be picked out easily with a fingernail. Good product, highly recommended.

Exactly as advertised. Easy to use! Even on my first try the pineapple rings came out perfect. The splicer ring for cutting the pineapple rings into bite sized pieces is a great included accessory. No more buying canned pineapple. Now you can buy fresh fruit and not worry about the damn peeling.
