This is nice, a little on the heavy side, very detailed, colorful, and true to size. Bought this for my hall bathroom makeover and made a great choice in picking this up. It is large, 3-D, very well detailed and gets your attention. It is beautiful. Looking at this item on google most people that had it was outdoors around pools. I used it indoors and decorated the whole area around it. It’s also sexy.

I adore this mermaid. She is the centerpiece of my "enchantment under the sea" display on my patio. Guests all say how gorgeous she is. The colors are vibrant (I sprayed her with a clear acrylic to preserve the colors), and the design is reminiscent of a beautiful reef. I would give this as a gift with no hesitation.One word of caution- she is a bit heavy and the screw that came with it seemed too short, so I used a longer one.

Just received my mermaid in the mail. She goes absolutely perfect with the beach decor in my new house. She currently resides on my mantel until I can properly mount her. I got an awesome deal because the box was damaged. The only flaw I noticed is a few areas of chipped paint. I'm gonna follow along with what other reviewers said and try to touch up those areas. But overall in great condition and a beautiful addition to my home.

I love my mermaid, but the paint work was not great. So like one of the other reviewers, I got out my paints and added some touches to it. I placed it in my bathroom on the tile wall behind the bath tub. I didn't want to drill holes in my tile so I used Velcro picture hanging strips that are removable. She seems to be fine resting on the tile underneath her and Velcro behind.

The mermaid was beautiful. And although made in that plaster type material was very well painted and the person doing was very artistic. Don't know if that will be the case every time. You can't bang these things around though as they will chip or the paint scratch on it so be careful. I have it hanging in our guest bathroom and it adds a beautiful look to the bathroom.
