Kit was delivered in a timely manner. Unfortunately, the kit was missing an important tool, the needle punch wire threader. I didn't see the need to return it but I did have to order a wire needle threader before I could start the project which was annoying. Otherwise, the kit looks great.

Need a smaller punch needle for this kit. Not easy to use with the provided needle in the packaging cos its too big for the printed designs

The yuegool 6PCS DIY Christmas Punch Needle Embroidery Coasters Kit triggered a childhood memory of making little latch hook rugs. This is similar to latch hook, so I figured I’d probably be able to pick it up pretty quickly. The kit comes with all the supplies you need to get started as soon as you open the box, even comes with a pair of sewing style scissors. Directions were provided, but if I’m honest they’re not the best, I am more of a visual/show me and I’ll follow along learner so I went on YouTube and found an easy to follow step by step tutorial. It was extremely easy to get the hang of how to do it. It took me about an hour to finish one coaster. I got all six done over a few days working on them here and there. It was actually enjoyable and relaxing, just sitting with a show on and mindlessly punching. Getting the finished result is satisfying and made me feel accomplished, which sometimes my brain just really needs 🙂 I wasn’t sure if I wanted to use these as coasters or if I wanted to hang them on our Christmas tree as ornaments…I went with the ornaments so I can keep these for years to come. I love homemade ornaments and these were perfect! This is a cool craft, and I am very happy I gave it a try. If you know someone, an adult or child who likes doing little crafts like this, this would make a cute gift. There isn’t a recommended age on the listing but I would say this would be good for kids 8-9 and up.

Just opened this. The yarns aren’t labeled, which doesn’t help, but they really just aren’t high-contrast enough to look good. Two shades of red, barely different, nothing approaching a dark red or burgundy. The tree shows three shades of green or is one black? Blue? I only have two shades of green here. Can’t recommend in this state. Otherwise it seems like a great kit, especially for beginners. And now I find the punch needle is ridiculously difficult to load. I don’t see how anyone could get the thread through. It comes with a threader for a regular needle, but you need a special punch needle threader.

This is a decent, cheap starter kit. However, I took off one star for some weird directions that didn’t make sense (poorly translated) and one star for their designs not punching through very well. Bigger lines and circles are needed for the designs to truly work for beginners.

This is such a fun kit to work through. You get everything you need to complete the project. It all comes in a cute little box. The way it's packaged would also make it a great gift to give someone that enjoys crafts. This is intended to be coasters but you really could get creative with the uses of this project. You could easily make them into tree ornaments or other holiday decorations. This is also a fun project to do with someone. The images are pre-printed on the fabric, the instructions are super easy to follow, and the hoop that it comes with is a smaller size that is ideal for each image. What a fun way to get into the holiday spirit and create something adorable.
