My cat used to eat so quickly that he'd immediately bring his food up. With this, he takes his time and actually savours his food and we've had no vomiting since! It really does work!

It had never occurred to me that having whiskers makes high sided bowls, possibly, annoying. Good reason to try these. Cat seems perfectly happy with silicone. The patterns stop spillage. My cat is not greedy and has showed no sign of persistence to lick the bits. The surface doesn’t wipe clean - need to brush in water. Probably best for a hungry guzzler. Recommend

My dog-owning friend recommended it, and I'd never heard of Lickimats before.Our cat is completely obsessed with food and gulps down everything far too quickly - so the Casper mat is really useful for feeding him wet treats as it really slows him down. I read that licking is soothing for cats, and stimulates happy hormones, so anything that forces him to slow down his eating must be a good thing!For comparison, we timed him eating a tube of his favourite Lick E Lix treat; when served on a little dish as we previously would do, he wolfed it down in less than 60 seconds, but when served in the Lickimat for the first time he took 15 MINUTES to get every last morsel. Result!You'd need to press the wet food right into the grooves and ridges on the mat to get the most benefit; we use a little plastic knife, or you could use a wooden ice lolly stick.*WORD OF WARNING*As mentioned by a few other reviews, if your pet is exceptionally greedy / obsessed with food, you'll need to supervise them using the Lickimat. No doubt caused by the frustration of knowing there's a tiny bit of food stuck in a crevice that their tongue just can't quite reach, I can see why cats would bite and chew the mat! The material is soft and flexible so it's easy to gnaw on - see my last two photos, only a few seconds with my back turned and our hungry boy had already started to nibble the mat 🙄I'd recommend this, for only a fiver it's worth the money, easy to clean and a nice size so it won't look too unsightly on your kitchen floor - but definitely don't leave it there too long otherwise bored cats will undoubtedly try and eat it!

Got these for an old cat we recently took in who tended to inhale wet food and then get really bloated and have an upset tummy. These were a total game changer! She now takes at least three times as long to eat, and she longer gets bloaty or upset tummy. I will say though - the one with traditional curved scales design is easier/better for cats new to this concept or a bit old and low energy! The other one proved too tricky for her and she wasn't interested after a minute or two of trying. We use it to spread out her dry food though and that works a treat!

I really like this slow feeding mat. It's a petite size which makes it great for treats and I've definitely noticed less "whisker stress" with my 6 month British shorthair (known for flatter faces)My only concern is that it can be quite difficult to spread full-sized meals across the feeding mat nicely and evenly which I personally believe, diminishes the end result.Does my kitten eat more slowly using the mat? I believe so yes.Is it noticeable? Absolutely not - the difference is almost negligible compared to others on the market.I bought this one due to its easiness to clean. I've tried better slow feeding mats on the market however they take just as long to clean!These are definitely great for liquid treats and smaller, wetter meals such as watery pouches (I've tried with jelly and it's a hassle to spread)They're also great for their price too.

She always eats really fast so I had to find ways to slow her down without getting her annoyed or irritated because I physically stop her. I was sceptical at first but it turns out these licky matts are really a pretty decent product! It is softer than another one we have, which is for dry and wet food together. At first I thought this mat will be only suitable for wet food, but I found it good also for her dry kibbles as they are very small size. It is made of silicone or soft rubber (I am not sure, but it is very soft) so it is comforting for the cat to chew or lick it when trying to get the food in her mouth. It is very, very easy to clean even with only water! The most important thing is that it really slows down my cat's feeding so it does really has the desired effect. I love this product and can definitely recommend it!

Great product. Easy to use and maintain. My cat is a natural grazer so I don't need to worry about slowing down his eating...but it's a different story when it comes to treats! He absolutely loves this. I simply place a little Lick-e-Lix, cat milk, some soup and crumbled treats (Dreamies or Webbox sticks) - a once-a-week treat and he cleans every speck!

I use these all the time since I bought them over a year ago, they’re great as flat plates to avoid both whisker fatigue and eating too fast. Only annoying thing is washing it - the water WILL spray everywhere just because of the shape of it but that’s not the manufacturers fault really.

This product works great. I feed my cat wet food on the mat and it slows her eating down. No more throwing up. I wash it off right after the cat eats and it’s really easy to clean.

Use them for feeding raw to my dogs. Finally found then pink one and it's sturdier than the blue colour. Easy to wash with a scrub brush.

I absolutely love these lick mats. I got them for my first cat as a kitten for when he got neutered. Knowing he wouldn't be able to lick himself for a week but he could still get the sense of it with a treat or food and a lick mat.I then started using the mats with my new kitten who eats faster that my cat. I love that they are easy to use and easy to clean. In the summer, I'll mix a churu with some water, pour it into the lick mat and freeze it so my cats have a cool treat on a hot day. I highly recommend especially for indoor cat owners!

Solo con este bendito plato logramos que nuestro gato que come como si no hubiera comido en días, se tarde un poco más en comer su alimento húmedo (igual deja limpio este plato, no imposibilita la alimentación) y le de chance al otro de acabarse el suyo en plato regular (a velocidad de gato normal).Funciona mejor con alimento tipo paté, pues el de trozos no se mete bien en las cuencas, ya que no son muy profundas, pero igual ayuda a esparcir el alimento.Lo lavamos con cepillo, agua y jabón de platos, y ha durado ya bastante y sigue como nuevo.
