I bought two of these 18" monitors to use while traveling (by car), since I don’t like working from just my 15.6" laptop screen. These were a great solution! They’re very easy to set up: just connect via USB-C and you’re good to go. To be able to use two at once, I also bought an adapter. The weight is light enough for travel but still feels sturdy and well made. I was really impressed with the picture quality: sharp, bright, and clear. The sound is decent for a portable monitor, which was a nice bonus. Overall, I’m very satisfied. They perform exactly as I hoped, and even though they’re a bit pricey, I think the quality makes them worth the investment.

The Newsoul 3k OLED portable monitor is an excellent display and product. Screen Quality: A prime example of OLED technology. Saturated colors and perfect blacks. Completely blows any IPS display out of the water. This screen gets plenty bright, although, the glossy coating means you should keep this indoor. Use this monitor in SDR. HDR content is best suited for displays that can reach brightness far in excess of the advertised 500 nits. If you are worried about color performance, you cannot beat infinite contrast and saturation of OLED. Stick with SDR. The display is very sharp with a PPI (pixels per inch) of 212 — higher than a 27" 4K monitor (163 PPI) and just shy of the MacBook Air's 224 PPI. As with most portable monitors, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) or FreeSync is not supported. To avoid screen tearing, lock your framerate to a supported refresh rate (60Hz, 100Hz, or 120Hz). Onto Connectivity and Usage: No need to mess with settings, just plug in the video USB-C and power cable. Colors look great out of the box but if you want to adjust the RGB or sharpness, that is available in OSD. Mini-HDMI port works fine, but doesn’t offer enough bandwidth for 120Hz at native resolution. To unlock the monitor’s full resolution and refresh, (2880x1800 at 120Hz), use a USB-C cable. Also, connect a power cable. Value for money: A great deal at 250 dollars. The 4k OLED portable monitors go for more than 400 dollars or even as high as 700 dollars. The 4k OLED portable monitors also are only 60 Hz, similar to the 1080p ones. So you get both a high resolution and higher refresh for less money with this product. My Takeaway Initially, I experienced a screen issue, but Newsoul’s customer support resolved it quickly and professionally. That, combined with the excellent product quality, made this a positive experience.

Great monitor overall—excellent colors, perfect blacks, and a clean picture. The 2880x1800 resolution is a bit odd though. On weaker machines, it doesn’t scale cleanly down to 1200p like 4K does to 1080p. If you need to ease the load, keep it at native resolution and use DLSS or FSR (Performance mode) instead of lowering the resolution. Running it at 1200p still looks fine, just a little soft. For regular desktop use or word processing, it works great. Thanks to OLED's per-pixel lighting, it's nice to drop the brightness or use a warmer background color at night and not have a glaring backlight keeping you up. The brightness indoors goes beyond what I'd suspect most people would need. I keep my screen between 30–50% brightness; 100% exceeds my needs. I’m running mine through my laptop’s DP-Alt USB-C port. It pulls more power than a 1080p IPS at higher brightness, but nothing extreme. It comes with an adapter and cables, though I use a 45W USB-C charger I already had with no issues. Just check your port speeds; mine only does 10Gbps, which limits it to 2880x1800 @ 100Hz instead of the rated 120Hz. That’s a laptop bottleneck, not the monitor’s fault. Compared to a 144Hz 1080p IPS, the trade-off is worth it. Picture quality and contrast crush it. I’d still prefer 16:9 over 16:10, but this one’s been great otherwise. The speakers are better than most in this range, the design feels more solid, and the glossy screen is easy to clean. It’s reasonably light, durable, and well-priced for what you get.

I have only had this screen for about a week or so. But, I am VERY impressed with the quality of the image! Because it is OLED, there is no "bleeding" of light into the image from the back panel. The image is just beautiful! I've run my Raspberry Pi5 Retrocade system on it, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X and it just looks fantastic! The buttons on the side take a little getting used to. But, once you remember the layout, there's no problems. Speakers a better than average, but not amazing. It would have been nice to have a 3.5mm audio jack on it. But, you can use USB speakers on it. My only beef: In low power mode, it has yet to automatically power itself on when I slap a signal to it. I have had to manually turn it back on each time. But, that's more of an annoyance than a actual problem and I can live with it. I have owned a couple of these portable screens over the years and, so far, this is my favorite one! You won't regret the purchase!

I bought this monitor as an accessory to my work setup since it's the perfect size to keep on the side. Do note that it's a 4K resolution with 60hz refresh rate monitor so I do use it strictly for work. I actually went on a recent trip and was able to bring just this monitor and my laptop and was able to work flawlessly as well, and it's extra convenient given the magnetic case that it comes with to get it standing on its own. The text clarity, resolution, and color makes it optimal for work personally since I can fit a lot and have it be legible (not blurry). The refresh rate and resolution makes it ok for console gaming and I've also plugged it into my S24 Ultra and it worked with DeX perfectly as well. Overall, it's a great monitor at a great price that fits exactly what I wanted it for.

Compré este monitor como apoyo para mi portátil y, sinceramente, me ha sorprendido muy positivamente. Ligereza y diseño Lo primero que noté fue lo poco que pesa. Es muy fino, fácil de transportar, y no por ello sacrifica calidad. La resolución Full HD es excelente, los colores vibrantes y el sonido integrado cumple dignamente, sobre todo para un dispositivo de este tamaño. Conectividad real Plug & Play Lo que más valoro es que puede conectarse mediante un solo cable USB-C a USB-C tanto al portátil como al móvil, sin necesidad de alimentación externa. Esto lo hace ideal para trabajar fuera de casa. Además, cuenta con un segundo puerto USB-C para alimentar el monitor con una powerbank, lo cual prolonga su autonomía sin depender de enchufes. Este detalle me pareció brillante. Por suerte, cabe bien en el maletín del portátil. Un apunte técnico Si planeas usarlo como monitor adicional en un PC de sobremesa, asegúrate de tener el adaptador adecuado. En mi caso, mi gráfica tiene puertos DisplayPort, por lo que necesito un cable DisplayPort a mini HDMI, que no viene incluido (pero se puede conseguir por menos de 10 €). Como detalle extra, en el momento de la compra había disponible un cupón de 10 €, lo que redujo aún más su precio. En resumen: excelente relación calidad-precio, versátil y muy práctico. Espero que esta revisión le sea útil a alguien, porque en verdad, yo siempre leo los comentarios antes de comprar y valoro muchísimo a quienes se toman el tiempo de compartir su experiencia. Diesen mobilen Monitor von Newsoul nutze ich jetzt seit einigen Wochen und bin absolut begeistert. Mit seinen 15,6 Zoll in Full-HD Auflösung bietet er mir einen großen Bildschirm, der meine Produktivität beim Arbeiten unterwegs enorm steigert. Besonders gut gefällt mir die hochwertige Verarbeitung. Trotz des geringen Gewichts von nur knapp 1 kg wirkt der Monitor sehr wertig und stabil. Auch die Bildqualität überzeugt mit scharfen Farben und Blickwinkelstabilität. Dank der Anschlüsse HDMI und USB-C ist die Einrichtung einfach und schnell erledigt. Auch die Stromversorgung über USB-C funktioniert nahtlos. Praktisch ist zudem das mitgelieferte Lederetui, welches perfekt Schutz beim Transport bietet. Für seinen fairen Preis liefert der Newsoul Monitor eine hervorragende Leistung. Er ist der perfekte mobilen Begleiter für alle, die viel unterwegs arbeiten. Aggiornamento Mi sono fatto ingannare dal mini pc. Avendo già un mini monitor di 10,5 pollici abbinato al mini pc Morefine M6 che non mi ha mai dato problemi, collegando questo monitor avevo riscontrato problemi ma erano legati al fatto che il mini pc non ce la facesse ad erogare energia sufficiente ad alimentare correttamente il monitor dandomi numerosi problemi. Ora l'ho provato con il portatile, nelle varie combinazioni, USB c a usb c o con hdmi e il monitor non mi ha dato problemi. Ottima la visione, buono l'audio, non altissimo ma per un uso d'emergenza risulta godibile anche se il volume non è altissimo. Scomodo il supporto per tenere il monitor in posizione, è magnetico ma ha poca potenza di attrazione e si stacca facilmente, si consiglia un supporto esterno.... Tutto sommato sono soddisfatto dell'acquisto, rapporto qualità prezzo molto soddisfacente. Si è visto per qualche secondo poi buio, si accende e si spegne di continuo e se si prova ad alzare il volume impazzisce e si riavvia. Neanche li provano, pessimo acquisto.

La qualité de ce moniteur est excellente ! La résolution de l'écran est excellente. La qualité du son est meilleure que celle de mon iPhone. Il reflète instantanément mon iPhone, mon iPad et mon MacBook. C'est génial de pouvoir l'utiliser n'importe où et de partager l'écran avec mes amis. Il est léger et fin. Le prix est vraiment intéressant. Je le recommande sans hésiter et je le choisirais de préférence à n'importe quel autre produit sur le marché.
