Bosch Home and Garden Isio Shrub shear blades

I’ve been useing Bosch shearers for years, and I needed a new cutting shear as my old one was getting blunt, very pleased with this, and I would highly recommend them.

The following is my review of the shears that fit to this handle, but includes info for the handle so seems relevant? : A couple of years ago I bought something similar which was cheap and did not last five minutes ... not because I am tight but because I could not find anything which came with a handle so you can walk along with it? (Bosch handle purchased at same time as this one). I had wanted to buy another clipper/shear but was dubious following my previous experience. I saw this, and that there was a handle available, and decided that Bosch were a reputable make and that even if it did break, I would have some come-back? My fears were unfounded, and it has proved to be an excellent tool, both on and off the handle. Charges quickly enough (around 30 minutes?), and charge last for a good 45-60 minutes with full functionality for the whole time (i.e. it does not become weak as the power runs out). Handle sturdy enough and adjustable for height and angle so easy to find comfortable position. You can also remove the wheels and use as an extension/long reach handle. Unit is light as hand-held and so not tiring to use. The two blades are very sharp and do not struggle with long grass (edging) nor trimming bushes. I would recommend buying the handle as well ... pricey but worth it. I have no fear of it breaking, and as it comes with a decent warranty I guess nor do Bosch?

Great idea but like the Bosch mini edge cutter which it can be attached, requires both hands to keep the motor going because it requires pushing in a side red button while pressing constantly on the underneath lever which for me with rheumatoid fingers, is hard work. Personally I would design it so that the side red button stays in when pushed because it would still require pressing the underneath lever to keep it going and stop when you need it to stop. On the positive side, the handle is easy to attach and height is as stated adjustable. Otherwise it would have gained a 5 star rating

At first I thought this was expensive for what it was, but now I have bought one I wouldn't be without it. It is well made, simplicity itself to fit to the Isio (doesn't require any instructions, just click it on) and does the job brilliantly. Has made trimming my long grass border so much quicker and easier, the range of adjustment for length would suit anyone and the electrical functions transfer to the trigger in the handle automatically. Highly recommended!

Felt slightly more expensive just for a handle when whole systems can be bought for similar.However,it is Bosch and you know the quality of what you are getting compared to unbranded names.Once confirmed that I had the correct version of the main tool (not that clear),this has been a good purchase.Saves your back and knees for those small areas ,edges etc.Seems robust and well made.Pleased so far and worth a little extra cost for the peace of mind of a known brand for quality.

replacement blade

I bought this telescopic handle along with the Bosch Isio Cordless Edging and Shrub Shear Set and am glad that I did. Really lightweight and easy to use and of good quality. Have used this handle when edging the lawn and it saves you bending and does the job really well. Would definitely recommend.

The instructions - as with most Bosch products I own - were just a couple of unintelligible line drawings. It took me ages to work out how to attach the shears and the angle of them is incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. They are supposed to adjust to two angles but I don't see how. They also proved to be too heavy for me. The hand shears are fine but once all that weight is sitting high above you the felt weight increases exponentially. I did try to attach the hand shears without removing the cardboard sleeve so that I could return them if necessary but couldn't do so - all-in-all a total waste of money for me.

Very easy to use

Good for round the cactus garden where the whippet snippet cuts out chunks of stuff. Nice and light and easy to install
