I have very soft, thin, just past my shoulder length hair. My hair immediately slips out of this if I don’t have styling products in for grip. With styling products, hair spray, texture spray, etc it did hold and I really did love how it looked! Easy to use and seem sturdy.

Loved it is definitely a different style for me This is how it held up after 9 hours of work I have really long layers hair it held pretty well I would it takes a bit for you to get used to the opening and closing . I also used it when my I washed and curly which is way more volume and the grip was pretty good. My sister just pitched it as free seeing how it looked on me

Love that the banana clip is making a comeback, but my hair is not as thick as it used to be! :( The quality of these clips is great (although I agree that they are unnecessarily difficult to open & close), but I just don't have enough hair and it slips out too easily. I think a 4" length would be great for those of us with fine/thin hair!
