I use this to clean my Restoration Hardware leather pillow cover. The pillow cover was a mistake since such an item will be difficult to maintain. But the leather gel conditioner is quite helpful to keep my leather looking nice. Easy to use and the outcome was satisfactory.

This stuff is getting harder and tougher to find in the stores. It does put a nice shine on the leather. I found it to be a great hot tub cover renew/sheen gloss treatment solution.

There are numerous spray/gel/lotion leather cleaner and conditioner out there and I was curious to see how different they are. Here are my findings: 1. I tried 5 spray leather cleaner and conditioner are priced between $7-9 for a 16 FL ounce bottle and 4 leather care gel and lotion. 2. For about $9 (that's when I got it), you get this 18 OZ gel, which is a decent size. The bottle itself is a ... ketchup bottle, thus it does not hold well in the hands and creates some pressure, thus a lot of gel comes out at once. I guess it's better for ketchup when you want a big dollop but not so ideal for a leather care product. 3. The gel has a hint of scent, but it doesn't bother me and it does dissipate fast. 4. It does its job of cleaning basic grime from every day use, but it does not remove heavier stains or jean's dye (at least it didn't on my handbag I tried on). 5. Another reviewer mentioned that this gel does seem to " sit on top" of the leather a bit, I agree. It doesn't soak in as well as some of the higher end leather care product. But after rubbing it in, it's fine. The thing that I found was lacking was the sheen. It didn't leave a nice sheen like some of the higher end leather care lotion. 6. When I compare the spray leather cleaner and conditioner to a leather lotion, I have to say that the leather lotion feels more luxurious and the leather is more hydrated and softer. 7. For smaller and more expensive leather goods, I prefer to use the WhooHoo-Clean Leather Conditioner and Cleaner in One. Luxurious Leather Lotion for Your Designer and Fine Leather Goods. In my opinion, any real leather can and will benefit from a good leather care product (with high customer reviews!). Think about it, leather is like skin, it will get dry with time and particularly usage. Just pick one that fits your budget and use it regularly!

I've used the $30 stuff and can't find a benefit to it over this. It's not just for cars. Works on purses, shoes, boots, etc.
