Great addon for any iPhone filmmaker. The SSD attaches securely to the MagSafe back and transfer speeds are fast which supports prores capture. It's also very light which is great for portability. 512Gb is enough space to capture lots of content, adding this to my 256GB iPhone helps so much with additional storage. Love this SSD! I intended to clean up some space off my iPhone, transferring all my videos. It was a breeze. Half my internal storage was cleared. Then I transferred movies to it. Now I am able to chill on my phone, my iPad, my Macbook Pro, and my PC, enjoying the content without worry. It's extremely fast and just does the job. The outer shell is metal, while the Magsafe back is plastic, which feels a bit cheap. The smaller USB-C connector is constructed well. All I need now is a splitter, that way I can continue to enjoy the extra storage, while charging my phone at the same time.

Been using the ORICO 1TB Magnetic SSD (K20) with my iPhone 15 Pro for 4K ProRes video, and it’s honestly a steal for the price. It’s way cheaper than big-name competitors and still records super smooth, with crazy fast 2000MB/s speeds that make saving and transferring footage a breeze. The short USB-C cable keeps things neat while shooting, and the magnet is legit strong. Sticks to my iPhone like glue, even with a slim case. The aluminum build feels a tad dinky, like it’s not as premium as pricier options, but it hasn’t let me down. Only bummer? It holds about 70 minutes of 4K ProRes, which I didn’t catch at first, so plan accordingly. Also, the instructions are basically nonexistent, and there’s no app, so you’re kinda on your own to figure it out. Still, for the cost, it’s a solid pick for iPhone video folks!

I originally bought this to enable ProRes photos and take ultra hd videos on my phone, features only unlocked if you have external memory in place. I’ve been very impressed with the product so far. Read and write is on par with stated speeds and USB-C makes it compatible with almost any modern device you can throw at it. File transfers from device to laptop or vice verse are very easy. It wasn’t too long ago that external drives were big bricks, this one can easily be traveled with or just kept in place on the back of your phone with MagSafe. Really my only complaint is that the cord length is too long to not get in the way when attached to the back of the phone, but too short to be attached to the laptop if you have limited desk space. During heavy transfers is does get a little warm but not near as much as other products I’ve used.

It’s really good, have been using it for about 6 months now. Connects well to my phone and laptop. Very lightweight to carry around. One problem I have had is that the type c connector is kinda weak, mine is bent and is almost ready to fall off tbh.
