Gets good reviews and I like it too!
Very good. Has good weight and feels very well-made. I expect to have this for a long time.

Heavyweight and easy to use
It's cathartic to pound meat into a tender entree-ready state, and this meat pounder works well. Its heft makes it easy to flatten chicken breasts and thicker cuts of meat, and its size is easy to handle. Washing is easy, and it appears to be very durable. Time will tell, but I'm happy to have it for my meal prep!

Good meat pounder
Nice and hefty design. Works real good to flatten beef, chicken, pork. Cleans up easy. Good price for it.

Good, but make sure you use it right!
The first time I used this pounder I gripped it with my hand resting on the base, and my hand really hurt afterwards. So I filled out a return form and planned on returning it. But then I looked at the box and realized I was holding it wrong. On the box, the person is holding the TOP of the handle, not the bottom. So I tried it that way -- and it worked great, with no pain whatsoever. When you hold the pounder at the top, the weight of the base is enough so that you really don't have to press the pounder down. Rather, you can basically let it drop onto the meat you're pounding and let the weight of it do the work. Having figured out how to use this pounder I think it works really well. The base is pretty wide so you get a good amount of pounding for each pound. They probably should include some instructions with this though -- some of the other reviews suggest people are having the same issue I did.

STURDY
TWO tools in one! Great meat mallet, won’t tear meat or chicken. ALSO great for tamping down and compacting anything, such as a graham cracker crust. Does a far better job than the ‘ole bottom of a juice glass! I recommend wrapping plastic wrap tightly around the whole thing. Use nonstick spray in necessary.
