I bought this for my son. He loves it. It is compact in size and light weight and very durable. He said it feels good in his hand and the blade is sharp. The leather is of good quality. He was very pleased with his Christmas gift.

I was looking for a small hatchet for a while and then I stumbled upon this product. I already own Beavercraft's carving kit, which I really like, so decided to give a try to the axe. Its compact size and lightweight design make it incredibly portable, perfect for carrying on long hikes or camping trips. The hatchet’s sharp, durable blade effortlessly handles tasks like chopping firewood or carving. The wooden handle (comes already treated with BLO!) provides a comfortable grip, ensuring precise control and reducing fatigue during extended use. Overall, this hatchet is a versatile and reliable companion for all your outdoor adventures. Highly recommended!

Advertised as razor sharp, but received as butter knife sharp. Contacted customer service, and they were no real help. I sharpened it up myself pretty quickly on a diamond sharpener. It works well after taking an edge. Overall it’s a cool and unique hatchet. Light and well balanced with a lean towards precision over power. The leather sheath and belt loop aren’t particularly robust, but they do fit well, and it’s awesome they are included for the price. So if you can sharpen it yourself, I’d definitely recommend. Of note, their customer service stated that once I sharpened it, it was not eligible for return. So be sure you want to keep it before sharpening. Overall, I think it’s a tremendous value, especially if you have the ability to sharpen the hatchet. If it was received remotely sharp I’d have given 5 stars for sure.

Great little wood working axe. Would buy again

It passed the file test easily and feels good in the hand. Perfect size for woodworking, camping ect. The edge protector is very tight and it does have a few bumps from the forging process but considering the design, quality and price, it’s definitely five stars. I always tweak tools here and there to make them perfect and this one requires almost nothing. I think the edge protector will easily “break in” and the small bump at the bottom of the beard will disappear with the first normal sharpening. Incredibly minor stuff. The core product is rock solid in design and construction.

Love this hatchet! It looks great, the handle is comfortable, the weight, and balance is perfect, and the bearded design lets me choke up on it for great control when working on wood. The leather sheath and belt loop carrier appear well-made and sturdy. Great for bushcraft, camping, backpacking, hand-tool woodworking. The Beavercraft hatchet is now my EDC whenever I'm out in the woods. Great companion to my BC bushcraft knife.

Holy smokes…. Beavercraft has done it again. This hatchet is beyond amazing. I’ve done woodworking with multiple hatchets and this one is the best. Amazing quality, good weight, very affordable and worth every penny. There’s a reason I keep buying beavercraft tools. It’s because they know what they’re doing and it shows in all their products. 10/10

Great steel! I know this because I needed to change the edge profile to become more shallow, and it took forever! This means that the steel is very hard, so the edge retention will be very good. I like a shallow blade angle for more thin slicing action on small axes. I also thinned the handle some to make it more comfortable in my hand. Now this thing is super nice. I modify all my axes to suit particular tasks, and this was no exception. I very much like this axe.

This company makes some extremely amazing products! I myself do leather work, wood work and forge.. Love the raw homemade look, very sturdy, axe comes sharp and clean, handle is short and sweat, great for overall control. Seems like it can handle the job, definitely strong. Feels great when holding it, has very even weight. Definitely recommend for any and all outdoorsy individuals. Have fun and be safe. Blessed be!

Top Qualität, liegt gut in der Hand. Für kleinere Sachen im Garten oder für unterwegs. Gutes Gewicht würde ich wieder kaufen
