Sturdy and well built
I had to return it due to a piece being cracked, however prior to returning it I did assemble and test (in case i wanted to reorder since my only option was a refund). Despite the damaged piece, it was sturdy and well built. Easy to assemble and disassemble with no tools needed, took maybe 10mins at most to set up.I realized it will take a little training for my cat to get used to it, but I certainly liked it and will be reordering, possibly even the larger one.

I like the assembly and design.
Even though it has a lot of assembly to it, it is sturdy and easy to use for my cats. They immediately began to walk and play on it. I was amazed. My cats are finicky about all their new toys. Sometimes, they will never even touch them. It took some training for two of my cats, but now they can all make it roll and move. It has been a month and they are not bored with it. I am happy.

It’s okay…
The media could not be loaded. This arrived and I was so excited. Unfortunately that quickly faded. SO MANY of these panels and pieces arrived chipped or marked which really takes away from the beauty of it. I quickly understood how this happened as even when gently and methodically putting it together more boards became chipped and marked. The materials were so cheap and delicate that these pieces were just crumbling. I tried my best to hide the affected panels as I went but I couldn’t hide them all.Setting this up was tedious. I wouldn’t say it was particularly difficult, just a ton of little repetitious steps. I did feel super accomplished when I finished. I read some reviews that said when the wheel really gets going it isn’t very sturdy. Due to this, I really made sure that my screws were tightly connected but it didn’t matter. While I don’t believe this will break under my cat out of nowhere, the wobbling and gait of it tells me I’ll need to replace it far sooner than I’d like to.Here are the positives: my cat LOVES IT. I was surprised at how quickly she took to it. Now whenever she’s bored she’ll call out and if I ignore her, she heads straight to the treadmill and runs her little heart out. I got this after a vet told me that my cat needed to lose 3-4lbs. This in addition to the extended play time I’ve implemented has really made more difference than simply changing her food volumes and ingredients alone. I also find she’s calmer because she’s exerting that extra energy. Also, it is fairly pretty (aside from the chunks missing).

Mostly worth the buy
The quality of the wood is terrible. Just saying it right out. I had chunks of wood coming off in my hand if I rubbed my hand over any of it while building. At one point, attaching one of the fasteners snapped the wood even though it wasn't screwed in deep.At that point I switched to a power drill and the whole thing went fast. I didn't really have a lot of problems then.My cat plays with it several times a day. It's pretty cool, but it's definitely not quiet. If anybody has ever heard pocket doors slide open and shut, that's what it sounds like.

Hard to assemble and not durable
I bought initially for the price, which I suppose is decent for how much other cat wheels are going for. I bought this for my cat and she is very active (she is a Bengal). She caught on how to use it very quickly but when she started sprinting on it frequently, the wheel eventually started to weaken. The screws are so tiny and not appropriately designed for high frequency use, the screws were literally coming loose and I found them on the ground. Any other cat that may not run as much it may hold up but for high energy cats this is not sturdy.

A Fun Break from Boring Toys
The media could not be loaded. We originally wanted a cat wheel because our bengal mix is very energetic and loves walking everywhere with us. A little hesitant because of the materials and other reviews mentioning assembly difficulties. However, the wheel came with little to no chips and was fairly easy to build. It was very time consuming, roughly 2-3 hours with water breaks in between. Little dude likes it though, so we’re happy too. Training him took about 2-3 days w/ some video tutorials online. Easy peasy-

Broken
Arrived broken and missing all hardware so I still had to return a box of busted broken wood to get my money back

It’s a hit!
The media could not be loaded. Took about an hour to assemble with two people working together. Seems fairly sturdy, just be sure to tighten the screws enough. Note that it’s easy to strip the provided screws when trying to make things nice and tight, so we used a drill to help with the whole process. Our youngest cat immediately took to it after some coaxing with a laser pointer to get her going. I wouldn’t call it “quiet” but it’s not a bothersome noise to me personally. Very happy with it!
