ST59 Digital Meat Thermometer for Oven BBQ Grill

I bought this product several weeks ago and it works exactly as advertised. Make sure you read the directions so you know how to use it to its full potential. I like the fact that it can be used as a thermometer and a timer. This product gives you the option to choose either your meat and doneness level as well as setting your own custom temperature level for what you are trying to cook. I only found out how to do that by reading the directions thoroughly. Since there are no words on the screen you need to look at the directions to understand what the letters and symbols on the touchscreen do in each different mode. The unit comes with two probes which is great because you now have a back up and most of the units I have purchased previously the probes are usually the issue. The probes come with a long cord which allows you to keep the monitor a little bit further away from the direct heat source. The display on this unit is clear and easy to read with large numbers and changing colors. Don’t be fooled by the inexpensive price this product seems to be a quality unit for a home cook.

The thermometer is a very easy to use (though needs minimum Skil to work with touch screen). Comes with short and clear user instruction. 2 AAA batteries are NOT included. Generally it is good quality. Touch screen Display is large and clear. It has Celsius / Fahrenheit option. You can use it also as timer for up to 99 min. You could either use the built in table stand or the magnets for your frigidaire Bottom line: good price per value

Consensus: Work horse entree level thermometer that does as advertised. Pros: Cheap Durable Battery hasn't died yet after 5 years of regular usage Touchscreen is responsive Temperatures seem to be accurate (I haven't done any controlled tests with an analog though) Cons: Setting Custom temps and timers require learning through the manual (not that big of a deal) Temperature probe wire will get tangled and mangled over time due to heat/pinching from oven door Moving from off to thermometer to timer might be finicky if you have big fingers/no nails

I decided to make a Standing Rib Roast for our Christmas Dinner this year - I watched numerous videos and googled numerous recipes looking for the perfect recipe!!! The one thing in common in all the videos and recipes was the use of a probe thermometer to monitor the internal temperature of the roast. I did not have a probe thermometer so Amazon to my rescue!!!! Found this one with excellent reviews, ordered it and it came three days before Christmas!!! Easy to use and did an excellent job - the Standing Rib Roast was amazing!!!!

I recently purchased this meat thermometer set after our other, one that was purchased specifically for use in a smoker, bit the dust. I guess we used it too much?? lol! Anyway... I really like that this one has two different probes - which is nice, we have a back-up probe for when the other one is dirty or when/if it goes ka-put. We primarily use this in our smoker, but will occasionaly use it in our large toaster oven/convection oven. The thermometer is very easy to use, even for those that aren't very technically inclined (like me!). The thermometer has a touch screen - making it simple, just press directly on the screen (no complicated buttons). And, the numbers on the screen are fairly large. Great for someone with failing eyesight like me (blind as a bat!). There's also a timer - which works great when smoking ribs or baking a whole cornish hen. Now, the first time that I used it, I did double-check the accuracy of the thermometer. I used it in the smoker - and when I pulled the turkey out, I also inserted a regular, non-electronic thermometer. The temperatures matched! Overall, I'm quite pleased with this purchase. It was fairly inexpensive, spot on with temperature, and works well in our smoker!

Absolute game changer, I cannot believe the price for something that changes cooking and gets all meat to the right temp exactly the way you want it. It is extremely accurate and I have had it for years and it is still going strong.

I’ve been using this thermometer for almost a year now, and there are a lot of great things about this product, but beware that I have found some things annoying. First, I love that it has a large display, and it came with 2 probes (the first has lasted this long so I may not even need 2!). It works how it should, although the program running the thing seems like it’s from the early 2000’s. Not very user friendly, and it has preset temperatures for all the meats with no option for changing it, which gets annoying if you want to be alerted a few minutes before the meat is done. Another problem is that it doesn’t double well as a kitchen thermometer, because any temp in excess of 170° and the thing won’t stop beeping.

The only word to describe this thermometer is perfect. I purchased a new grill, and it was completely different from my previous one. Of course, cooking times are going to vary and it would have taken me forever to get the hang of it, if I didn't have one of these. This thermometer is amazing, it comes with 2 of the sticks, so if you are cooking two meats at once, you can poke both with the sharp end which reads the meats temp. Plug one into the digital piece itself, and it will tell you clearly if it is over, on or under the recommended and safe temperatures of cooked meat. You can swap as it's essentially like an aux cord, where it plugs in and removes easily. This thermometer is a must have for anyone. I am going to purchase a few extras and add them into house warming baskets for our neighborhoods gifts! The best part, it's magnet, so you can put if on the fridge and not lose it.

Tried it first time today on some beef fillet. Easy to use, helped me cook a lovely dinner. Would definitely recommend

Von mir gibts nur drei Sterne da die Überschrift mit zwei Sonden sehr irreführend ist. Wollte für das Geld eigentlich ein Thermometer mit zwei Mess Anschlüssen. Nur deshalb habe ich das Thermometer gekauft.
