Great food for my sage palms

My house smelled like a zoo for the 1st week. I had to buy plug ins, placing them on the highest setting to mask the odor. I also stored the remaining in a ziplock bag in the shed. 1 wek later, my palms have already changed. I administered the recommended dosage while the soil was dry, mixed it around a bit then generously watered and misted the branches. My oldest palm was suffering and I couldnt figure out why after trying so many solutions. Now, day by day I could see it changing, branches lifting, leaves turning greener and shinier, firming and sprouting up. While I hate the poop smell of this fertilizer, this combo has been better than any other in sprucing my plants. I'm going to try it on the others that have the same mineral ratio, just in a smaller dose. I do like Jobes plant food spikes for smalller plants also. I don't have moisture issues because of the double pot method with clay beads at the bottom for drainage. My soil is aerated when I fertilized, I also use a mixture of cinnamon, crushed eggshell powder and black pepper to fight fungus/mold, etc. This has always worked rather than using the onion, coffee, banana or egg shell watering method.

We live in zone 6b (Western New York) and we've have two Windmill palm trees planted in our back yard for the last 3 years. Crazy right?! (Covered in winter) They have grown slowly each summer and this year we decided to add some food to the soil and BAM! They really started to take off! I can see a difference in growth in just a few weeks. This is the best thing we could have done for them. This is also the worst smelling stuff on the planet! LOL! Don't let that deter you. Get some and watch your palms take off!

PROS: it works & works fast! I used this for my dying & saw results the very next day! They are becoming green & healthy thanks to this product. CONS: The bag was pretty difficult to open. No measurements. It should come with measurements of how much to use for beginners, Bc I’m new to planting and just guesstimated how much my plants needed & hoped that it was enough to get them healthy and not too much to kill them. It would be great if the bag was made with a sifting/pouring feature or came with a scooper. I poured directly from the bag into the plant soil & it was very messy & spilled a lot. Lesson learned; Get a scooper. Lastly, the smell is so HORRIFIC it surprised me. I opened All windows while using & left them open! Whew. It took an hour or so to disappear which is pretty bad considering I have large windows. If you buy for indoor plants, I recommend taking them outside to place in soil & bring them in afterwards. Even With all these cons, I will continue to buy this bc It work and I like the price. Don’t make the same mistakes I did & it should be fine for you.
