NOT SILK! 100% polyester
Mis-promoted! These are sold as silk ties with material stated as silk - yet they are 100% polyester with zero silk

These are beautiful ties. However, if you like tight knots and/or wear a tab collar shirt, these are not the ties you're looking for. I have no idea when they started making fat knot ties, but neither me or my husband like these kinds of ties. I believe that I am going to try and rebuild them with a lightweight woven interfacing. I took apart a different tie and found the interfacing to be very thick. So, if you're looking for a tie that will accommodate a tight knot, that may be the only way you'll get one these days. Otherwise, as I said, they are beautiful.
