My first Amazon review, and props to the company after working with their customer service department. I bought this in Feb 2025 and loved the features - perfect size for what I needed, multiple lighting schemes, fish feeder and fully automatic/remote controlled (for some of the comments about the app and functionality, I found the included instructions clear and the app has been spot-on for remote adjustments (both in house and when you're not on WiFi) assuming you've linked it up to your WiFi to begin. Just like all other aquariums, it does require general periodic cleaning. Will say I had a design issue early with a connection not working (moisture leaked into a connector and rusted a prong) but I was very impressed with how quickly and often customer service responded to my emails. Granted it took a bit to finally resolve (but understandable given all the tariff discussions had just started), but I was completely satisfied with our resolution in the end. Only other design issue I highly recommend the company to address is for both the main filter and bacteria cube inserts - not sure there is any reason these plastic cases shouldn't be able to be opened like the pump case so one can just replace the insert rather than buying a whole new unit. So in sum, yes, not the cheapest aquarium out there, but makes a lot of sense for folks who travel a fair amount and want the remote functionality as well as that it looks clean and sleek (with multiple light schemes) for when you are admiring it. I was not compensated for this review.

It lasted for a few months. I kept it pretty clean, but then the temperature since you started going wonky, so it would turn the light on turn the light off you feed the fish not feed the fish. It became so unreliable. It killed my fish. I tried everything I could fix and I took it all apart. I hate the backend plate that goes all the way to the bottom gravel gets underneath it so it never fits to the bottom. It’s a terrible design. I thought it would be really cool but nope Cheap cheap cheap cheap beware.

The fish tank is amazing, it does everything it says, my fish have a happy life in there, the water flow is smooth, my shrimp life quality is good, it looks amazing with the different lighting it has, you can adjust the brightness as you wish, I don’t recommend use the aquarium light much , it will make all your plants grow too fast and the fish tank will turn green, better use Brooks Stile. My first fish tank was damage, it shows me an error, it said that the water pump was dirty, I cleaned it several times and it didn’t work, after that the light and the bottom stopped working and then the water pump, I had to ask for a replacement, it was a satisfactory experience because the seller was very understanding, he sent me a new tank and I sent him the damage one, and the new one have worked perfectly these months.

I am pleased with this tank so far. Is it worth $200 maybe. It did ship in the original box which I was not happy with as it had a big hole in the side but tank was fine all except one scratch about two inches long. It’s not a terrible eye sore but still a bother for a brand new tank. I did ask for a replacement and they shipped it out the next day. So customer service is great. However as far as the tank goes I like all of the features. I’m in love with the back filter compartments and that it reads the water temperature and there is a place to turn on and off the pump; best idea ever!! I do like that the pump button has 3power modes. I have it set on the second mode which is fine for a betta. I would like to see the price at the $150 mark as it’s not a swimable space 5gallon. It’s more of a 4.7 gallon swim space. But each to their own. I will update in a couple of weeks then in a month or two. ** 3 week update. This tank is holding up amazingly so far and the water perimeters are staying consistent. I have filled all three of these tanks up to just an inch from the top with no issues of overflow or malfunctioning. It’s way better than the fill line 3” from the top. I do hope they try and make a 10 gallon. With the same width and height but more in length.

I was immediately impressed with the quality of this tank. It's so much more sturdy than most of the stuff I saw at the pet store. It feels and looks very high end. After cycling the tank I added a single alien betta and he seems pretty happy. Love the smart features!! I have the auto feeder and the lights on a schedule since Im away every week for a few days for work but the app is great!! My only concern is with the filter media. Everything I read said to lightly clean it so as not to disturb the beneficial bacteria by just replacing it but the filter cartridges don't open. I'd deduct a star from this rating but I think the rating for this tank should be much higher. It's a quality product that I'd highly recommend. I hope they make a 10 gallon in the future! I'd buy one!

The tank itself looks nice and is well designed, but the pump performance was very disappointing. After just two weeks of use, the pump started to weaken noticeably. A week later, it began randomly stopping for about five seconds at a time when set to speed one. I returned the first unit and bought the same model again, hoping it was just a one-off issue. Unfortunately, the replacement had the same problem. The pump worked well on the first day, but its performance dropped before the day was even over. The water level remained consistent, so that was not the cause. I will be initiating a return for this tank and looking to buy a different one altogether. This product is highly not recommended.

Bought 2 less than a year ago have gotten rid of both already as they turned into more of a hassle than it was worth. Automatic heat reader stopped working after about 2 months on both tanks. Automatic fish feeder did not work great as food constantly got stuck. Pumps started making load noises even after full take apart and clean. Cool concept, but quality is lacking for the price.

If your are looking for an smart aquarium that saves you effort and time, there is not best option in the whole market. At this point, I own 3 of these wonderful smart aquariums because I literally haven't found a smart aquarium as good and affordable as this one. Just to put it in perspective, I have looked in all the online stores for an aquarium that has a programmable light, with a programmable putative feeder connected to the pump to avoid the water getting all your fish food moved to the filter, with also sensor temperature, pluse lid, plus mechanic and biological filtration included, plus a spot to a heater, that by the way I extremely recommend the one sell it by Wonderfactory, plus a black background, plus hand accommodated base to help with the handling, plus is not cubic or vertical which help a lot to raise the amount of healthy fish you can have in there and the area of oxygenation way bigger compared to cubic and vertical small tanks. Yes, all this is included except the heater. In case you already have one and want to reuse it in this tank, it makes a lot of sense to put it apart from the tank to be purchased. I just not only tried to look for a tank with all these characteristics on Amazon, but also on ebayeBay, Facebook marketplaand ce, even all the fish storestore in my city hine on Tampa Florida in a radio of 100miles, and I didn't find a single smart aquarium thashave all taccommodationtion included for not even close to this affordable price. If you want to start this Ho,bbirecommendnded 100%. Do not overstock fish, do overfeedding, tryour you water for water cha,nges and that all is more what you do need tothanthat what you have to do.
