Kohler 2356-4-0 Archer® 22-3/4" rectangular drop-in bathroom sink, White

The hubby and I decided that it was time to get rid of the old formica seashell sinks in our bathroom (circa 1981). After lots of research and comparison on whether to replace the whole counter or not, I found a technique to cut out the old sink and just drop in a new one. This was the best price and the perfect fit for our needs. It looks amazing! The only thing is that the faucet I wanted to use was a single hole, rather than 3. The faucet came with a plate that would cover a 3-hole with 4" spread (which is what this one has). Due to the setup on this sink, I did have to use a dremel with a stone bit to enlarge the center hole a bit. Though it was easy enough, it did take some time. The end result is I now have a beautiful and modern bathroom!

I installed this very same Kohler model in a previous home and loved the size, quality and appearance. After moving to another home, I wanted the same sink to replace another standard oval version while updating the countertop. The seller received my order, indicated the sink had been shipped, then unexpectedly informed me my account was being refunded with no explanation. I contacted the seller (Pioneer Sinks) to find out what was going on. I was informed the following day my sink had been broken before it ever left their facility. No aplology and no effort to ship another sink.

Good look but both sinks we purchased had scratches on the top back part of the opening near the faucet handles on the right side when facing it. Fairly small scratches but very noticeable.

I ordered two of them and one of them arrived in pieces, as in broken. So I returned them both and found it locally for slightly less. There is a problem in the packing from Kohler that does not properly protect these kinds of semi-fragile, breakable items. The sinks should be suspended in dense Styrofoam that should be more than capable of sustaining small drops. And that is not an unusual experience and frequently found with expensive electronic components, like oppo. So for sinks or something of that ilk, would suggest finding it locally and picking it up. Otherwise, the sinks look great and work fine.

I ordered two of these sinks. They shipped separately, but the first one came today in this condition. Pretty ticked that Kohler/Seller thinks it's ok to ship a porcelain sink with ZERO packing materials. Fully expecting my other sink to arrive in the same condition. Save yourself the hassle. Spend a bit more money, and buy it at your local Home Depot.

This photo depicts how it arrived, 20 pieces. There wasn’t any packing material. We repurchased the same sink at a local home improvement store and it’s beautiful, pretty large in scale so measure well. Based on other reviews, it seems our experience isn’t atypical.

I have been looking for a sink to change out an old sink which happens to be larger than standard size oval sinks you can buy now. What a pain. I ordered this and with 2 very small cuts it fit in the oval hole already in the base cabinet perfect. I am so happy. And it is a beautiful sink. ❤️
