HELLA H3 YL Twin Blister Xtreme Yellow Bulb (12V 55W), 2 Pack

I installed these into some Hella 500 driving lights, which came with Hella 55w H3 bulbs in them. I am *obviously* using these off-road, as that is the only place they’re legal to use. I had run the 55w bulbs for a while, and felt like I wanted more light output. WOW do these deliver! Now mind you the Hella 500 units I have are the “driving light” pattern, so dispersion is pretty minimal — they’re basically a spotlight. So, long, focused, narrow beam. These REALLY increased the output of my lamps, and reduced the “dead” spot that was in the center of the beam pattern as well. They throw much further down the road, and my eye estimates probably 2x light output (not scientific). Downside is that the lamps heat up a good deal more than before, but I have not experienced any deforming of the housing yet. I probably wouldn’t turn them on if your vehicle is stationary, as the air moving past them as you drive helps to cool them down. You’ll need to make sure the gauge of your wiring can handle the 100w bulbs, and you should NOT use these if your lamps are not wired thru a relay. Installation was a breeze, just need a Phillips head screwdriver and 5 minutes’ time. Be careful not to touch the glass part of the bulb, or the oils from your hand will cause them to burn out quickly! Thats’s it, that’s the review — thank you for coming to my TED talk. EDIT 4/9/25: These bulbs have held up well. No issues and great lifespan, tho to be fair I don’t use them a ton. I’d imagine they have a shorter lifespan than a 55w bulb just because of how incandescents work. A HUGE unforeseen upside to the bulbs heating the housing & lenses up so much: they de-ice themselves in the winter. I’d purchase these again!

I got about 2 years out of one but the other has to be changed. Net real bright but ok for extra light when needed. I got what I paid for I guess. 02 Jeep TJ stock driving light lights.

When I bought my Celica, the fogs were not working. I hoped that it was the bulbs as the fuses were not burned out so I decided to swap them out. The old fog bulbs looked fine to me so I was kind of worried. I replaced one side first and tried to test the fog lights but no luck. Replaced both sides and bingo! Apparently, both fog lights need to work for them to turn on so if one side is burnt or damaged, then neither of them will work on. The Halogen 55w/12v is perfect as a factory comaptible fog set for my car as I do not want HID fogs at all as they will melt your wiring harness and the housing since factory fogs were not meant for the high temps of HID. The yellow is good, enough to pull of a JDM look ^_^. Hopefully these last for atleast a year so I can get my moneys worth out of them. Don't even bother buying them expensive OEM/Toyota dealership bulbs. They're overpriced as hell. Buy this and save over 200%.

a pesar de que hay opiniones sobre el tono de amarillo (supuestamente tenue) la verdad se ve claramente amarillo, ya las probé en la lluvia y se ve bastante bien, ya las apagué y encendí mas de 100 veces así que puedo decir con seguridad que funcionan correctamente y se ven de calidad.

Sehr schönes Licht, könnte noch gelber sein.
